If the OP is shopping STI he's obviously not worried about keeping it in the same price range as a twin either.

Our car is not perfect, some like it some dont.

Different strokes for different folks.
Reading between the lines the OP either has no car to start with and if he does then he just wants what he thinks turns heads. I don't think the power actually comes into it.
Anybody that doesn't like the car and changes to another, all the power to them. If he had been here for a while and had a few posts behind him and wanted some advice then all the power to him.
To show up with a first post that exemplifies almost every singe debateable topic in one short paragraph is plain and simple trolling.

You should have just gone FI with your FRS. I know that voids the warranty but the Twins are really reliable so the loss of warranty isn't such a big deal imo.

A stock automatic FRS is slow as sh*t but with FI its so much damn fun. I would not trade my turbo FRS for anything (well, maybe for a Lambo, Ferrari or GT-R but then I would just sell that car and go back to the FRS).

Now, you can use that in 2 condition.
1. It's their first post
2. And not replying back to anyone's comment for 4~6hrs.

If those 2 conditions are met, you can do whatever you want BUT don't go too crazy that, I receive crazy amount of reports about you trolling.

I agree. Seriously, a boosted FRS is a whole different experience from stock. Makes the car 100000x more fun to drive. Not only do you corner on rails, you are a threat in a straight line. What makes it even more fun is when big V8s try to make you feel slow and stupid and you return the favor.

New guy to the forum here, but here is my input: I didn't buy my BRZ for the power (although I am having Bob at Drift Office tune me up some) but for the sheer driving pleasure. In a straight line, I'd rather drive my F150 Limited--brute power all the way. But in the twisties, it's all about the handling and weight. So buy what you enjoy--don't worry about what anyone else says.

maybe in the US... but at 3260lbs it's a lot heavier than the '95 one (271hp, 2734 lbs), and the 22b (280hp, 2800lbs)

sigh... looking at weights of old cars is sad... I wonder what cars we could have were it not for safety regulations... though it's probably saved innumerable lives.

No, not brand new, but considering the OP was shopping for a STI it appears his budget is not limited to <=$30k.

I have yet to drive anything that matches the feel of our car that is brand new and in the same price range (except for a Miata).

But a C7 vette is a V8 and it feels amazing (really its a head shaker on how good it feels) and is affordable (relatively speaking).

I honestly thought about doing the exact same thing, I'm interested to know what your opinion is if you end up doing it.
