The +38 offset seems to avoid the running at full lock of the +45 offset.

I like that but also like how the +45 means no guard rub when lowered.

Wish I could have both at once!

Wheels are 17x9 +38, tires are 255/40/17 ZIIs. Stock Suspension. There's about 1-2mm clearance between the spring perch and the tire. Hasn't rubbed yet!

Please be careful. This is an unsafe amount of clearance at this location. Static clearance is quite different from clearances under loads/stress. Hard high speed cornering can and will cause catastrophic rubbing at this point under extreme conditions in many cases. I would take great care insuring this contact does not take place.

I'll be going back to my stock wheels for DD, this was just a test fit. I'll likely have suspension done fairly soon as well, so the clearance shouldn't be an issue.

Can I get a pic of that down the side with the wheels straight? I am thinking of doing something similar, and want to see it at the stock height.

I'll snap some pics tomorrow! It does poke a little on both the front and rear, but it's just enough it'll tuck in perfectly with a bit of camber.

Here's a few photos looking down the car:

Front Tire

Rear Tire

Rear Tire from rear

I hope this helps!

It does. I don't want to lower my car, and I am trying to figure what route I want to go. I think I am going to mad max it. I wish they made brush guards for the front and back...lol. I am about to order some XXR 553 17x8.25 front and 17x9.25 rear with 245/45 front tires and 275/40 rears. A little more diameter than stock, but may help to fill that wheel well. I really only drive the car 13 miles a day.

We don't seem to have 275/40/17 here in New Zealand. Closest is 275/35/17.

Am I going to have any issues or drivability issues with running 255/35/18 and 265/35/18

Got a great deal on some PSS tires in 255/35 front and 265/35 rear. Im sure the minor stagger wont be too noticable?

We need to know your wheel specs and any suspension changes you may have made to answer this question.
