Sounds like someone was going around just looking for cars to break in to. I'd keep an eye on Craigslist for the parts missing from your car.

Funny how they smashed the navigation screen likely out of anger, when the only thing blocking them from taking it are the plastic dash pieces which may be removed with very light pressure.

This is why I support gun ownership and a 2-way car alarm.

The plastic was off when I found it. Had nothing in the car worth stealing and my wheels are safely in my closet because I had the stock ones on.

I'm super sorry about what happened and I had this happen to my last car (rifled through, also tires slashed because they were mad I didn't give them any good free stuff I guess?) so I feel your pain.

That being said, this is kinda hilarious how bad they were at the whole theft thing. I dunno about modern interlocks, but I had someone take my Camry for a joyride and return it a few spaces down the block with ease. I can't imagine our cars having much in the way of advanced anti theft.

This is starting to happen more and more. I'm glad yall were not hurt(physically). I think its time to set up some camera's for next time or an aftermarket alarm that is loud as hell!

Surprisingly they have a decent amount of protection given the thief does not have the key or a key programmed to your car.

No key means they need a flatbed truck to take the car for a "joy ride".

I had heard someone say if they are gonna steal small cars they often just tow them, but I guess I didn't know how good engine interlocks are now. Good to know.

lame! Sucks when this kind of thing happens.

Although, because the anger toward the stereo, maybe they are a twin owner...a lot of people have a lot of hate toward that stereo lol

I have one myself, I've never had an issue with it, or expected it to do things it doesn't do.

I will raise you, and hope they die in a dark, foul-smelling prison surrounded by inmates pissing and jizzing on them while rats gnaw off their toes and leeches drink from their eyeballs. Too dark? DGAF.

The real question I have about this is how does he not know how to remove the radio which is super easy and takes 5 minutes tops but knew exactly where the horn was located on the front bumper
Lesson here is do your home work
But seriously sorry hopefully your insurance handles it quickly.

After driving this Chrysler 200 around that Flo hooked me up with, I really want my car back and won't complain as much as I used to. This fantangled contraption has larger blind spots than our twins. . . although the extra room makes me miss my old wrx.

Ya I was thinking exactly the same thing!
And still baffeled as to what they thought they were going to achieve by pulling out the light controller panel on the dash. Even if they thought they could hot wire it there is still the steering lock and engine disabler.
