Pretty much everything you can do in the States but with less guns and we can have Kindereggs!

Seriously though, my boss is the company owner and didn't even get his GED until 65. He taught himself via library/hard work and makes more money in a year than I'll probably make in my lifetime.

Meanwhile I'm over here thinking, "hello crushing student loan debt."

school = teaches you how to work 9-5. or stress out 24/7 being a lawyer.

no school = you better make money somehow. and by doing that you learn a lot of business skills.

Verbal threats of violence qualify as assault in most in most Western countries including the US and Canada:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assault#Canada

I won't speculate if the protesters "started it" but it is clear that the BRZ owner threatened the strikers.

Also, I feel that my first post in this thread has been proven correct.

Sounds like you did voice your thoughts there...

I never understood protests that aimed to inconvenience the general public at large.

Yea sure, you have my attention, but I'm now too annoyed to give a shit about what you're saying, just get out of my way.

EDIT:
I also cant tell if those guys in the safety vests are part of the protest or part of some third party.

But that whole thing looks like a shit show. Someone else in a white shirt getting pissed off at someone in the safety vest. The black guy trying to act tough and start a fight. Some woman getting pissed at the red car because its honking (good idea btw... I'd just stay on my horn to drown them out until they let people through).

What? My thoughts on the fact that graduate students want more then their current $42 an hour to assist the staff snuck through in my statement? Or that student teaching assistants feel that $16,000 a year for a part time job marking exams is not enough?
These folks are in for a rude shock when (if) they ever actually go to the real world.
Don't want to go all political though and this is not the appropriate place to discuss so I will not say more on the topic (see guys I do have my limits).

Last time I promise but the fact is very relevant to what people are saying!

This is NOT a protest! It is a strike!!!!

The Unionized Teaching Assistants and Graduate Students want more money.
They are not interfering with the general public but with the other "normal" students that they claim they need to be paid better to help.

Again I am headed down the politics road but any discussion on this subject is inevitable!

No it is $42 Canadian an hour since we are in Canada and exchange rates don't mean squat but yes you are reading it right!

Hah yea I tried to convert it to USD for my own clarification.

But what the hell, unless the cost of living in Canada is 3x more than cost of living in NYC, these guys have no reason to strike.

It is illegal for protesters to block any public roadway without permission from law enforcement, in Canada or the US. Your Charter does not excuse you from this, which is law.
