OP, please do yourself a solid and test drive a manual before buying...these cars have great transmissions and are so much fun to drive with the manual. I actually test drove both, and the manual won with me hands down.

I agree with everyone else, you should definitely give it another shot. It was hard for me to find a comfortable spot as well because of my long legs and the car being manual. It might help if you raise the seat up a little bit, it's worked pretty well for me. Keep in mind, I'm only about 5'7", but inseam is a 32, so it was hard to find a good position for my legs to feel comfortable, while being able to get a good grip on the wheel.

I think OP may have started off with the wrong impression of us. Most of us here are not ricers. A lot of us have owned American iron and appreciate the sound and feel of a big engine shoving us through space in a straight line.
Personally, I'm looking for a good deal on a Magnum SRT, the forgotten sister of the Charger and 300. I'm hoping Chrysler will bring that back at some point. But it suffers from an inability to extend more than an angry inch. I would prefer to be able to get the steering wheel a little closer. |

OP:
1. I think the FRS cockpit seems SMALL to EVERYONE who try it out for the 1st time. The cockpit is designed to cocoon it's driver for lateral stability. I'm 6 feet tall with a 32 inseam and my knees hit too, but it is not uncomfortable or unsafe. Just need to adjust the steering wheel and the seat. 2. Time to trade the junior beast in for a Hellcat. |

They've stopped taking orders for the Hellcats because some stealerships were letting people put hefty deposits down on vehicles that they wouldn't receive for YEARS. Each dealer only gets one per month. The demand for those beasts was far greater than they expected and the initial orders were double than the planned production for 2015 alone.
If you are one of the lucky (read: crazy) ones who happens to get one for $30K over sticker, please don't end up like this guy: http://jalopnik.com/first-hellcat-so...-pu-1673994344 Other than that, though...

personally, i think the challenger is the best looking car on the market. i love it. by far my favorite of the three american muscle cars. the only reason i didn't buy it is that i commute with my car, and i couldn't live the fuel economy

I see the problem and it's the release series. Those things are so stuffed with hype it's a wonder anyone fits.

Just curious if you tried a regular FRS/BRZ? I wonder if that thicker TRD steering wheel is causing the issue? I could be wrong...
