So its test drive time... I test drove the direct competitors yesterday and really saw the value in the FR-S.

Miata: Very nice car but its 32K starting at base. There are no creature comforts in this car - similar concept to the FR-S but just a convertible version. Did not go for a test drive - i was already drawn away because of the starting price.

Genesis Coupe 2.0T: Liked the interior comforts for a base car such as voice activated BT/Phone connection, digital HVAC controls but unfortunately, the driver inputs are not fun. I have NO CLUE as to when the clutch will engage, the throw on the manual is too long, and I cannot tell when the turbo will kick in and give me maximum torque. On top of that, the seats are way more comfortable in the FR-S. The rear seats in the Fr-S are also MORE COMFORTABLE but at the same time livable compared to the rear seats of the Gen Coupe. also it is 2K more in price.

After looking at the direct competitors, I can start to live with the shotty HVAC controls on the FR-S. Time to go for another test drive in the FR-S. Maybe a longer one too. lol.

Hey guys,

Has anyone heard anything from OpenRoad in Richmond? Does anyone have their VIN numbers yet? Or have we heard when they are planning on doing another test drive?

I'm dying for more info. I have heard nothing except an email I sent to Ahmed. He told me cars are arriving end of May.

But I wonder, if people out east can say "I got my VIN... car is on a train here... will be here 05/25" ... How come we don't have our VIN's yet if the car is only 1 week away.

I think something smells fishy!

Ben

I bet anything that local frs'es have been stock piling at the ports and will be trucked out to local dealers on or before june 1st.

Also at least with open road. They just took down "color preference" so its no wonder people here arent getting vin's. It honestly wouldnt make sense and would be a waste of time to figure out vins at this point
