Time for a rebuild! These parts will be going in then we'll tune for 18PSI pump.

The lower your compression ratio is, the more dependent your motor is on boost to make power. Going from 12.5:1 to 10.5:1, I am losing a lot of bottom end power, but in return I am able to run more boost and in turn make more power. If I go lower, I will have to run even more boost to make up for the loss in power, but I will lose a lot of power when I'm not under boost. What this mean (to me) is a car that is not daily drive able. I hope you understand the way I've described it!

The area near the side marker light can't be rolled. The only way to make more clearance here is to either pull, or to cut off (shave) what is rubbing. However, the majority of the fender can be rolled instead. What I am saying is to cut where you need to cut, and let the car take care of the rest. If you need any more help, feel free to ask! PM me any time and I'll do my best to help you out

I started cleaning up the heads a bit today!
The bad: There was a lot more carbon buildup than I had hoped, but I knew I had bad rings so I didn't expect them to be perfect.
The good: The cylinder walls are in great shape, so I'll be able to retain the original 86mm bore size.

Lowered. Boosted. Jdm. Its so shiny it hurts my eyes

I'm extremely excited to announce my two newest sponsors!

Action Clutch - Los Angeles, CA. https://instagram.com/actionclutch/

I will be using Action Clutch's new 6-Puck FR-S/BRZ clutch kit on my build! Made right here in Los Angeles, their clutches are designed to withstand high power abuse! My favorite feature has got to be the cover over the springs - I've had springs pop off other clutches and destroy my gearbox in the past, no fun! The cover on the Action Clutch springs will definitely prevent that kind of failure in the future! I'll make sure to keep this thread updated with dyno sheets to show how much power an Action Clutch can handle! Make sure to give Action Clutch a chance if you're looking to upgrade your factory clutch, and mention my name for some special pricing!

RJ Coatings - Los Angeles, CA. https://instagram.com/rj_coatings/

I'd seen RJ's work on friend's cars in the past, and right away could tell it was top notch quality. So when I decided to powder/ceramic coat my turbo components, I already knew he would be my first choice! RJ shot all my cold side turbo parts (compressor housing, intercooler, piping, BOV) with a durable wrinkle black powder coat, and my hot side parts (hot side housing, headers, downpipe), with a 2000 degree Satin Black Ceramic coat. With any type of paint, the most important parts are always paint quality and prep. RJ makes sure to use the best quality powders available, and his prep work/masking is top notch - It's no surprise that major manufacturers such as Varrstoen and Klutch wheels use him to coat their products! Make sure to mention my name if you ever need parts powder coated and RJ will make sure to get you taken care of!

Now check out some pictures of the newest parts being used on the build!
