Here a Fi-ST can be had $26k with far more options. I don't care its FWD.

In higher elevations turbocharged cars have an advantage. Also bolt-ons and tune its making something like 200whp/300wtq at some low RPM (max torque on a stock Fi-ST is made at 3400rpm I believe).

In my elevation a Toyobaru makes something stupid like 150whp/130wtq.

So It's pretty much the Same as in the vs wrx section.. The fiesta is better because It came with a Factory turbo and has soms easier power to Be had? Anyway to get more Than Your 200whp out of that CAR You Will need to do alot of work to the engine.. And when You get soms serieus power the CAR being fwd Will Be Your next problem.. I can See what You like about it though when You only want do soms mild mods the Car is Great for the money

Was really surprised to see that the fiesta at beat the 86 around the track. Ford is kicking butt in this department. The people reviewing the fiesta even went as far as to say that it felt lik a RWD car. Congrats ford !

Which is easier to remedy? Case closed...I am sick of being nice to the Fiesta ST guys who crap all over the 86 platform.

Anyone ever disliked a car because of the crowd who drives them?
Actually, in this comparison the "what is wrong with the twins" is incorrect, at least based on this review. If the 86 is slow, the ST is slower, particularly given the ST is ALREADY turbocharged. Stick a turbocharger on the 86 and the 86 wins by more margin.

In the end, I'm in the "yea, but its still a freakin' Ford Focus" camp. Sorry but I have never understood the attraction to "hot hatches". I agree they are more practical, but I don't buy a sports car for practicality. I'll do what I did, buy a sports car and buy a used "practical" car for when I need one. That combination cost me $36,000. Seems like a win/win to me.

The other thing that Ford is kicking butt at is offering more power through their performance division and it does not void your powertrain warranty if you go through a dealer. It would be nice if Subaru and Toyota would offer performance divisions with real power updates that don't screw with your warranty.

Or you could have a sports car and and a sporty practical car.

Hard to find a sporty practical car that hauls/pulls like a Suburban if that is the capacity you need. Unless, of course, it is a Suburban with a big honking supercharger attached to it....yea, now there's the ticket.

I'll add this to the list...

Hennesey Yukon (also available for Suburban and Tahoe) 665HP, 658FT-lb.

Here it is racing a Hellcat. Sadly, it does jump the light though.
