Been a while since I updated my thread. Took the car over to West End Alignment for corner balance and alignment. Here's Chris from West End.
He did a really good job, explaining everything as he went. I highly recommend him.

Next big event, Chuckwalla Valley Raceway with Mike Kang. Mike came out to help set up my suspension and then try and teach the old fart how to drive. I managed to knock 6 seconds off my previously best lap. But I still have a long way to go.
Mike is one hell of a driver and can really bring the best out of the FRS. Here's Mike with our cars.

I had a bad thing happen at the track. Spun out, went out in the dirt, and caught my front splitter/lip on something and broke it off. I guess I knew I wouldn't be able to keep the fiberglass lip perfect forever. So I installed a new lip, looks kind of like the Aero Jacket lip but this one is a flexible plastic/rubber like material.

I'm thinking of adding some kind of splitter under it but haven't decided on what yet.

At least ten seconds

Well they say 3 times a charm. I loved the 1st lip I had on the car but being fiberglass it just had no give and one off track session did it in.
2nd lip was a lot smaller and a soft rubber. But I didn't like the fit or the looks.
SO
3rd times a charm, my new 5 axis front lip. It's poly-something so it won't crack or break. I won't be adding a splitter at all, but do have a new grill on order.

My new look, Rocket Bunny kit, 17x9 front, 17x10 rear with Dunlop Z11's, 235/40 front, 245/40 rear. I like the wide look but didn't want to go excessive on tire size.

Hope to see you back on track soon Steve and to see you run that awesome looking FRS on track! It would be awesome if you could make it out to Laguna Seca on the 23rd (there might be spaces open if people drop out). I was finally able to sign up after someone dropped out of the sign up list. I am just going to put the S2000 through its paces for brake and tire testing and help out with 86CUP since we are a sponsor of the series.

Thanks for the "Awesome" comments David. I love the new look.

I'm going to Chuckwalla next sunday to try the new combination. Might go to Streets of Willow the 23nd but Luguna Seca is just to far a drive right now.

I'll be heading back to Oregon in a couple of weeks and hopefully get in a lot of time at Oregon Raceway Park so I'll be better prepaired when I come back down here in Sept.

New plan of attack. We're back in Oregon. Working on getting the house ship shape to sell. The only thing good about coming back here vs Indio is there is a new station now selling E-85.
So new plan of attack. As soon as the house sells.
E-85 flex fuel kit.
AVO turbo charger
Both above installed and tuned by the Drift Office in Seattle.
Nothing radical, looking for 300 gas, 350 E-85
I decided to go with the AVO Turbo because I like it's low mounting point and good dealer support both up here and another shop down near Indio.

Once I have the turbo/flex fuel up grade all dialed in I'll go back to work on suspension. I have a whole list of wants, axles, drive line, bushings, and so forth. But will probably only install what I need as needed.

I will start out with wheels and tires. When I put the Rocket Bunny kit on I went with a staggered set up. 17x9 front and 17x10 rear. I will be going back to a square set up, 17x10 all the way around. Tire choice and size will be determined by what I need to handle the new HP. I will only run one set of street/track tires, not two sets as before. So possible choices are
Toyo R1R 275/40/17
Maxxis RC1 275/35/17
Kumho 295/35/17

So, anyone want to buy a new 4 car garage?

I'm pretty sure you will be happy with this kit. Post updates when you can.

Not much to do with the car but support for the car. Today I installed a new tool check in my car trailer, along with storage space for E-98 track rule. I'm going to build a rack so I can double stack the jugs which will give me 40 gallons.
My car trailer is almost always hooked up to the motorhome which has a 8KW generator for 110 so I'm also going to put air conditioning in and bolt my drill press to the bench. And a over head shop light.
