I just installed a set of these.
When I pulled the plugs for the side pieces I saw that there was not bare metal under the coating. It is primed. This should prevent any major problems without further attention. BUT. You can buy undercoat in a spray can. Rustoleum makes some. I hit each spot with a bit of it. It's black, but I don't care, as it is not in any normally visible place. |

In case anyone is still interested. Mitchell Subaru in CT seems to sell these panels the cheapest. I got all the required stuff including clips and bolts and whatnot for $190 shipped to central NY.

Just installed my set of the underbody panels. Easy enough install, but having this super thorough how-to for reference sure was handy!

Did the parts or compatibility ever change between model years? I pushed the parts list to my local Subaru dealer for pickup and they're saying these parts are for MY15/16, not MY13. Maybe that's when the series.blue started running them stock?
Safe to order the parts regardless? |

Hi. I noticed that the pictures on this DIY guide for the underbody aero panels no longer work. I think all photobucket pics have this problem. Is it possible to update it to make the pics work? I was thinking of having a local body shop install the panels since I have no lift or garage to work in, but it would be nice to show him what to do.
Thanks! |
