Ended up ordering a Translucent Charcoal Slammer with the engravings in it the other day. With MTEC Springs, what am I in for? Perfection when shifting? lol

Also, does their Reverse Lockout's weight make any difference in feeling when you shift? It's heavier, so I wonder what it feels like.

The slammer is the best looking shift knob in my opinion.

The shifts will be smoother, more fluid and easier to shift. You'll loose a lot of the feel but the notchiness is still there. Took mine off because it was slippery to my hands.

I didn't get the reverse lockout. I just bought the unfinished with the gear pattern.

When you say I lose some of the feeling, do you mean in the engagement of gears or the effort to drop into gear?

And hrmmm, guess I might bite the bullet later on and get the lockout haha

Voodoo knobs. Check Thompson automotive. They have them for around $40. Had one on my Miata. Great weight and finish.

No kidding. Throw it in a $4 flat rate envelope and be done with it.

The effort of getting into gear. I just wish I would have gotten the wrinkled shift knob.

I would say if you have the money go for it.

I have translucent red and never gave the cost a second thought. I'm mesmerized by the way light reflects off of it and I often find myself drifting into oncoming traffic as I can't take my eyes off it. Also, it weighs about 50 lbs and if needed, you could use it for self defense. Get several for backup though. It's cheaper than the cost of ammo these days.

Why? Looks like it might get uncomfortable or rub my hand raw with extended use.

The aluminum has as really smooth surface. My hand sometimes slips when I'm going to 2nd gear or 4th gear. I think my hand is gets too dry.

I think the Slammer is probably the best looking knob out there. I would go with a wrinkle finish personally but I just can't justify spending $150 for a shift knob.

Anarchy Motive is a good alternative for a weighted knob. You will be waiting a while for it though. And I mean a long while. Quality knob but it took forever. I love mine.

Is yours engraved? That's the only concern with mine since I don't want to chaff it every few shifts. Yeah, it'll build a callus, but even then that shit hurts for a while.

For $140? I'd get two fat black Perrin knobs.

I like the translucent finish, thought about getting the blue one till I saw the price tag.

Just put a lil sticky note with the new pattern :P

Or better yet, this will stop thieves and other drivers from getting away with your ride!
