KW V3 Setup
Hey guys
Sorry if this has been asked before, but I did some searching on the forum and Google and I can't seem to find the answer I am looking for. So I have a set of KW V3 that I am going to install (By a garage) and I want to confirm couple of things. I do track couple times a year, but my car is mostly daily drive. For those who have the KW V3, if you could shed some light that would be awesome. 1. What is the lowest height setting on the KW V3? From what I read it 2 inches lower than stock, if somebody could confirm this that would be great 2. What is the perfect "ride height" for these coilovers, for I know that if its too low, I will sacrifice ride comfort and performance gain is minimal. 3. If you guys could direct me to some links for some pics of other peoples FRS/BRZ that is lowered on 2 inches on 17's that would be great as well. Thank You in advance for your help! |

When i installed a set of kw v3 on my brz i followed the intructions that came with the kit.
I set it up for max ride hight. There is a lot of crappy roads were I live... You will have to measure from bolts in the suspension to the spring base. See page 4 in the manual. http://docs.kwsuspension.de/ea-KWGFwEA-h68658004.pdf I dont know what ride hight that is "perfect", but sticking to these measurements is what kw recomends. |

Not sure if this will help you or not, but when I installed my KW V3's I measured from the hub center to the top of the fender arch. I set the drop for 1" based on that measurement. For settings, Front comp - 7, front reb - 10, rear comp - 8, rear reb - 7. . .these are all # of clicks from full stiff. That should get you started and you can modify from there based on what you want from the suspension.

I also just got these coilovers (used), but it seems as if that the front compression doesn't stop spinning from max soft/stiff. It is the one that reads "BUMP' right?

Lowered mine to 1.4" using Myles suggested settings somewhere on these forums. Works great. I can't go much lower without my 5AD kit scraping everything and losing my front bumper.
