Oil cooler for HKS V2 supercharger

Do I have to run the HKS oil cooler that tucks behind the light if I have the V2 supercharger kit.

I have a RHD car and the Intercooler seems to sit to the left where a lot of aftermarket intercoolers are positioned. What are you guys running with the HKS Supercharger? i wanted to buy Sard but not sure it will fit.

I have the HKS V2 S/C on my BRZ so i know that setup pretty well

Yes, you HAVE to install an oil cooler, the easiest solution is the HKS oil cooler for S/C setup it works perfectly with the supercharger layout.

this is what you are looking for:

I wouldn't go any other route, I understand it is probably not the cheapest one, but the HKS v2 kit + tunning isn't cheap either, so it is totally worth the money all together

i just want to confirm that you installed the HKS SC VERSION 2 with oil cooler with part number 15004-AT011?
How many quarts of oil did you add after you install the oil cooler?
How many hp did you gain after you tuned?

Thank you

Yes it is the part number 15004-AT011 , and it adds about 1.5L of oil
As for the power, my result can't be compared to a normal V2 setup as I have the stroker kit, Vcams , and injectors but you still can check on my build thread

Thanks, i ordered the HKS cooler just for peace of mind. As you said its not the cheapest but at least ill know it fits without any kind of messing around. Did you remove your fog or do anything to route air to the cooler?

The cooler is actually exposed through the wheelwell, it requires to trim the plastic wheelwell, and put a grid for protection, no need to touch the fogs

Great buy ! peace of mind with a oil cooler makes a difference
