Only drove R888 and RA1 on Elise on track but friends with A048s said they were stickier (in softer compounds) than R888 when new but heat cycle quicker. R888 on Elise were sensitive to pressure and better with more camber than stock...but I digress...OP, what do you make of all the feedback?

I have not had a chance to read through all the feedback. But from what i have i will not get the nt01s. I will continue to use my mpss for now. Later on

Good choice, you will know when it's time to upgrade. I use mpss as summer street tires, also pushed them in a couple of AX events (on a 1/2 mi track) - very good tires if not overdriven. They are also my backup for wet track days. Have fun!

Using PSS for track days is a bad idea IMO, it would make a great backup tire in the wet like mentioned above, but I would at least opt for a more robust option like AD08R, RS3, RE11A ..etc (if you already eliminated the NT01 option) , they won't feel greasy as much as the PSS tires, after a couple laps..

it's not only track time but you will also destroy your street tires since they're not designed for extended high performance use so the tire cost might be higher or the same my 2 cents
