Also if it starts to surface rust, who cares, it was $200. 90% of people who own these cars daily them, 8% probably track/autocross, and 2% are probably on professional level where it matters for stuff like this

Why would daily driving your car make you ok with an exhaust that didn't fit right?

Do you live somewhere where rust and shitty roads aren't a concern?? You can disagree with whomever you want, but facts are facts. Tried the crap and learned why NOT to buy the crap...

I have a manzo exhaust and the tips are perfectly centered. Just because some replica exhaust are not 100% perfect doesnt mean they all suck. Everyone on this forum jumps to conclusions to fast.

Again.. do you live somewhere where rust is an issue? Here in Denver the crap they put on the roads eats through cheaper exhausts.

Yea i live in Ohio. we get up to 5-10inches in a night on peak winter days and there is salt on the road all winter.
Ive only had my brz since october so this isn't a good representation but i've had eBay exhaust on my mkv gti and mki tt in the past and they also were great. I had a catless eBay downpipe on my gti for almost 4-5 years. yea it had surface rust but who cares, didn't effect anything

Cool! Good to know. I guess I was just hesitant (or paranoid) to try one because I didn't want to have to go through the pain of sending it back or replacing it down the road. I went with the Perrin and love it.

The main reason i'm asking and looking at this route is more for just a bit more sound. So spending almost a grand on a front pipe and cat back seems crazy to me since the power gains are gonna be minimal. On my sti a turbo back and mild tune gave it 310whp\340wtq.

gosh how I miss my turbo'd cars of the past...

I would try and find the exhaust used, you can usually find some good deals out there!

same here live in Ohio and have always had "knock off" exhausts and have never hade any issues at all. They always last the time I have the car. For the FRS I had both a Manzo V2 and now the Ikonmotorsports Q300 replica. Both are great, only changed because car was too loud.

I'm sure you know, but turbo systems respond much more to free-flowing exhaust from TBE than a N/A car from headerback.. right there with you for not wanting to spend a lot of money. Got my FT86SFV2 single exit CBE for $200 from a member here; Openflash headers for $400 BNIB from a member.. the header and tune is sooo key. Exhaust is fun... buuut

TBH I'm looking to tone down my exhaust. It doesn't feel right having a loud car that is slow in the straights (before anyone comes and says "should turn more" I commute 200 miles a day).

My 3-inch TBE wrx feels/sounds right and proportional to the power.

I wouldn't even waste money on the Q300 setup, even an ebay knockoff. Perrin is what I would have went with if I was in the market for a new system. GL with the hunt

I don't get why people would buy a $25,000+ car and cheap out on exhaust, Q300 ain't even expensive...
