Are Scion contingency decals available in Tech? If not, would anyone happen to have some extras they could bring if you are coming to Blytheville?

I contacted Kevin at TRD today to register for the contingency but not sure I will get the decals in time. Thanks.

They did not have them at DC last year. Nats did have "SCION" and the TRD stickers but not the "Scion Racing" stickers. I think most people used the same big Scion stickers on sides, but no one came close to cashing in...

My co-driver had to call TRD to get the stickers last year because we never got any response through email.

Hello Sean. You’ll need to sign up for the 2015 Contingency program, the details and forms are attached here, looks like you last signed up in 2013. Will need W9 information if you are eligible for (and win) any awards. In SCCA Solo, Toyota and Scion racers are awarded for Class Championships at the SOLO Nationals."

Perhaps I sent my stuff in with too little lead time before Nats...

I can't do many big events this year, so contingency won't be on my radar. As much as I want to believe I have a shot at it, I'm also realistic.

Is anyone running the Dixie National Tour coming up?

I don't have everything needed for Scion, and when I talked with Kevin he said he planned to have it mailed out at the end of February. If I get that mailing this week, I'll have some extras I'll bring to Blytheville. I might have some extras of some of them anyways. They usually don't have them at Tech. Kevin said that they would try and honor the contingency even if all the decals weren't there, given the circumstances.

Heads up guys, this year if you want to register for the Scion contingency you need to have your registration in by March 31st. They will not accept registrations after that date.

Yesterday I ran in 35F slightly damp conditions, and my RS3's were almost undriveable. Like as soon as you broke traction, there was no grip at all. Seemed like they were significantly worse than the Z2, Rival, race tires, etc. that others were using. Is this what everyone else is getting with these tires as well? We almost never get conditions like this, but I couldn't believe how bad they were. They were trying to kill me each time I applied any throttle. I probably would have done better on the Primacy's...

Pretty much. Car's in the garage for winter but I did drive on the street one wet, 50 degree day in the fall and the asphalt was probably a fair amount warmer. I had it floored in 2nd gear and they broke traction at about 5k. In a straight line. Completely stock.

I haven't driven the RS3s at all, but from secondhand knowledge the impression I have is that the second gen compound made it better at colder temperatures than the first gen while still not being on par with other brands at those colder temperatures.

The times I have struggled with tire temperature in the car, that 55/45 weight distribution really hurts - my fronts will be borderline and the rears will almost be at ambient. At that point even my setup gets twitchy.

Weren't you swapping back to the stock sway bar? If you did that probably didn't help you any...

I didn't swap the bar yet - too cold for that nonsense right now. I was pretty amazed at how crappy the bite was, though. Mostly on acceleration. I could spin the tires with ease at any speed in 2nd gear. I've run these tires in 50 degree weather and thought they were still pretty good. All others on RS3's had similarly bad experiences until it dried up later in the day. It never got above 40ish, though.

I ran on Primacy's at a local event in about 40 degrees and VERY VERY wet and took 2nd raw (and pax actually) at one event. Easily the best I've ever done.

OK, thanks. If you have some extras, great. If not, no big deal. Got to finish in a position to actually earn it anyway which is a big if.
