After install all the lights work exactly as they did before install. When DRLs are on, boomerangs are off. When headlights and boomerangs are on, DRLs are off. On the 3rd setting (just above auto), the boomerangs are on and DRLs are off. I have not been able to get the boomerangs and the DRLs on at the same time. Handbrake has been lowered and lights have been tested in D, R, N, and P. So which of these is the problem?

1: I'm retarded and have missed something glaringly obvious.
2: These do not work with Australian RHD BRZs.
3: The 3 sets I tested are all part of the faulty batch (although the faulty ones seem to have the DRLs on when the headlights are on as previously reported).

Will also test a 4th set on a friend's manual BRZ here hopefully today/tomorrow.
Probably #2? Faulty would be that video that I posted. DRLs come on with all with headlights, and on the default setting DRL comes on but boomerang stays off.

Just tested 3 other sets on a friend's Auto BRZ. Same problem.

Just my opinion, but glad you figured it out.
What he said ^
Plus the fact that you went from always using remote start up and seeing boomerangs come on, but decided not to test using remote start up after doing the mod.

Seems there's quite a bit of confusion. Understandable, just need to provide some clarification.
Yea the DRLs confused me too at first. I had to read the manual to figure out which things were supposed to come on at what times.

Why would I test it with the remote start? You still need a second person to make sure it works when you put it in drive...

I could've sworn the boomerang didn't come on when running and in N the other night, as I did the test the same way.… probably didn't plug something tight enough? have no idea…

All is well right now. Thanks DD for creating this module.

I don't understand what point you're trying to make...using my remote start to test the product would be pointless. You need two people to test the product. If you need me to thoroughly explain again what my "issue" was, I will.

Get off my case.

I think DD's original advice needs to be heeded by everyone about to install this kit - before you perform the install, start your car up and see how it currently works. Understand what scenarios DRL comes on at, and what it looks like. Understand what the headlight normal operation looks like. Understand when the auto kicks in if you use that. Understand what any other 3rd party aftermarket modifications do to your lighting operation.

Now that you've got a good idea of all of that, install the kit and make sure that it performs as advertised for for when DRL functionality is on, and when normal headlight operation is on. If it's not working as you expect, unplug the harnesses and replug them making sure they're all snug. Still no good? Unplug the harnesses, the relay, and put it back to stock. Does it work in stock configuration? Yes? Time to give DD a call/email.

This isn't directed to any individual in particular, but to all future kit owners who have yet to perform the install.

So....either the kit disables the boomerangs as parking lights on my automatic brz (HANDBRAKE DOWN), or there is something wrong.

I think the point he's trying to make is that you assumed the way your car was working prior to install was normal functionality of the lights for everyone and kept saying the kit broke some functionality.

Honestly I'm still confused as to how you're saying they work. My understanding is that, prior to module install, your boomerangs only came on as parking lights when you used your remote start. But if you used the key to start it then they wouldn't?

Yes, I assumed that the boomerangs always came on as parking lights, since that is how I saw them while walking to my car when remote started. I did not know that my remote starter influenced the parking lights, but it makes sense that it does.

If I used my key to start (push button), I had no idea if my boomerangs came on since I would be inside my car. So having only visually seen my cars boomerangs come on while using the remote starter, I assumed they always turned on when regularly starting the car, but I was wrong. Honestly, however, from the factory there should be some sort of lighting on the front when you start you car without having to manually turn the parking lights on.

[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tTpvj21oOfQ"]Diode Dynamics Always On Kit on my EUDM 13' BRZ - YouTube[/ame]

@Diode Dynamics:
I received the kit today and installed it according to your instruction video. I was kind of worried about the kit not being working on an EUDM car, since I also experienced issues with the USDM TOMs Taillights, where some of the wires had to be switched in order for the taillights to work as intended.

After installing the kit, I turned the car on and switched the lights off, which forces the DRL to light up. Now, as far as I know, the Boomerangs should also come on. They didnt. I then switched to "Auto" which turned the HIDs on, but the DRL didn't come on with them. Also after forcing the HIDs, the DRL stayed off. I switched both jumpers and tried if it works this way, but nope. Nothing enabled the kit. After this procedure I decided to make a little video to show it.

I guess this Kit is just not working at all for EUDM (which makes me very sad, I SO want this to work )

Any ideas?

It shouldn't matter in this case as his DRL LED's are obviously on; theoretically with that module... if those are on, the boomerangs should be on as well.
