Some one seriously needs to document how DRL's work. Holy crap.

Manual cars: Turn your car ON. Leave your car in neutral, RELEASE the parking brake COMPLETELY. Check lights. On? Good. Off? Problem.

Automatic cars (you're going to need two people or a mirror): Turn your car on. Put car in Drive. Release parking break. Check lights. On? Good. Off? Problem.

If your car is parked, not on, parking brake pulled, not in drive, etc.. the DRL's won't turn on and neither will the boomerang.

You're not listening.

Prior to installing:

Automatic BRZ-I never use my hand brake. When i start my car in park, my boomerangs ARE ON. my light switch is ALWAYS on auto.

After installing: When I start my car, put it in park, my boomerangs are OFF

So....either the kit disables the boomerangs as parking lights on my automatic brz (HANDBRAKE DOWN), or there is something wrong.

Prior to installing... In stock-mode, it shouldn't turn on the boomerangs when your lights are in auto mode...

They go on either A) Headlights on on, or B) Parking lights are switched to on, OR C) When in auto, it is dark enough for the headlights to go on which means the boomerangs go on too.

Mystery solved.......Having a remote starter turns the boomerangs on (prior to module install) while car is parked.

So when I used my remote (after module installation) to start my car, my DRLS turn on and my boomerangs.

Yeah, likely because it's unoccupied, so it makes sense to have the parking lights set to on when remotely started for safety reasons.

Well then you have the extenuating circumstance. I have updated my post with that info.

Also assuming "after module" meant "aftermarket"

Side note.....I ran the wiring underneath the airbox. Overall, the wiring is barely noticeable.

After module meant after I installed the always on module.

I think he meant facepalm because you posted your module wasn't working properly and asked for ideas. And when you got ideas and multiple people stating OVER AND OVER that boomerangs aren't on while parked, you insisted they weren't listening or weren't right. Just my opinion, but glad you figured it out.

Yeah, I think we're going to have to add a back side to the instructions!

Seems there's quite a bit of confusion. Understandable, just need to provide some clarification.

Okay, so I bought 12 sets for a group buy in Australia. Already messaged DD on facebook and waiting for response but in the meantime someone here might have an idea.

I have tested 3 sets on my car and none of them work. Situation after install for all 3 sets is exactly the same. My car is a RHD AUTO. After install all the lights work exactly as they did before install. When DRLs are on, boomerangs are off. When headlights and boomerangs are on, DRLs are off. On the 3rd setting (just above auto), the boomerangs are on and DRLs are off. I have not been able to get the boomerangs and the DRLs on at the same time. Handbrake has been lowered and lights have been tested in D, R, N, and P. So which of these is the problem?

1: I'm retarded and have missed something glaringly obvious.
2: These do not work with Australian RHD BRZs.
3: The 3 sets I tested are all part of the faulty batch (although the faulty ones seem to have the DRLs on when the headlights are on as previously reported).

Will also test a 4th set on a friend's manual BRZ here hopefully today/tomorrow.
