Thanks

PS., how long does shipping to Canada generally take?

Mine shipped a week ago, I would imagine 7 - 10 days to Canada depending on shipping method. As far as the issue affecting some of the DRL mods, I hope this is an isolated incident. Maybe DD has comment on the exact issue affecting some of these and if it is the relay? Was it just one person so far?
Look forward to getting mine

We have identified a problem in one part of the harness that was contracted out, specifically, one wire is switched in pin position. It was not something that we checked for in our testing process which is done on each unit. Please contact us directly if you encounter any problems with your kit. We believe it's less than 3% of the modules shipped so far, and we've now eliminated the possible point of failure. We'll of course immediately replace any defective units. Thank you.

I installed mine today. Both boomerang and DRL were on in drive, however BOTH were off when in park.

Any thoughts?

DRLs dont turn on when car is parked.

Maybe we need to rename the module to not be "Always On" lol

Yes, BUT the boomerangs are not coming on while the car is parked either. They seem to work fine in drive though.

Is your handbrake up? Get some wheel chocks/or a buddy, put the handbrake down. If the boomerangs come on with the DRL it's working correctly.

Automatic

Normally, without the module, Boomerang is your parking lights.

My Boomerang does not turn on while parked.

This is normal behavior when lights are set to auto.

So the module disables the boomerangs as parking lights? That doesn't make sense.

Your boomerang won't come on if the vehicle is in park unless your parking lights are on. That would be the position directly after auto on the BRZ stalk.

Some one seriously needs to document how DRL's work. Holy crap.

Manual cars: Turn your car ON. Leave your car in neutral, RELEASE the parking brake COMPLETELY. Check lights. On? Good. Off? Problem.

Automatic cars (you're going to need two people or a mirror): Turn your car on. Put car in Drive. Release parking break. Check lights. On? Good. Off? Problem.

If your car is parked, not on, parking brake pulled, not in drive, etc.. the DRL's won't turn on and neither will the boomerang. UNLESS you have a remote starter installed turning them on.
