Yes. This really does require a second person to test function.

Confirmed it's faulty (or not working 100%). Disconnected the module and put back the oem plugs and fuse relay, confirmed original DRL lights up on everytthing (including Neutal) other than Park. My BRZ's an auto...

Well got my car back and installed the module. Checked over the wiring between the two plugs and everything appeared to match up. Got it installed wires ran under the front beam. Must say that part was a bitch with big hands. Got everything in and tested and my driver side DRL doesn't come on while everything else (driver side boomerang and both passenger side boomerang and DRL come on). unplugged the driver side and put the stock connector back on and same shit minus the boomerang. So don't think this is a DD problem, but more of a "body shop forgot to plug the DRL's in" problem. So now I'm gonna figure out how to get to those and how they're wired in to check them.

I'll do a full write up once I get the other DRL fixed.

It does appear that you received a module with the wiring issue. We'll be in contact via email to get you a replacement right away.

Yes, this module sends power to both DRLs at the same time, so the DRL on one side is probably not plugged in. Thanks for your understanding.

Very peculiar. I think you said that the DRL did not light at all with the module? This module does not interrupt the factory DRL signal from going to the DRL.

If the module is bad, the boomerang won't light up as DRL, but the DRL will always light up as a DRL, as it just gets powered from the relay like normal. Power does not go through the module.

If possible, please try reinstalling and try it out one more time, now that you've determined when the DRL should be on.

The only other possibility is that the relay is bad, but that would be pretty amazing as these are new, quality relays right out of the box. Please also double check that the relay is in the correct location and plugged in fully. You should feel it "click" when you turn on DRL. If it does not, you might actually have a bad relay, but again, that would be incredibly unlikely.

This is getting pretty technical, so please call or email to continue the discussion, as we'll be able to respond much more quickly. Thank you.

Yep. Knew it was something once the I tried the fog light and it didn't come on either. Pulled the fender liner and sure enough, harness wasn't plugged in. Plugged it in and all working perfectly now.

Managed to confirm that the pins are connected properly, 1 to 1. Since they were all color coded I didnt even need to remove the electrical tape. Same color went to same pin.

Hopefully my install goes perfectly.

Hi,

I'm wondering if you've corrected the issue in newer modules? Or if you check out shipped modules for the issue?

I am interested in ordering, but I would be bummed out if I ordered them all the way to Canada only to discover they were faulty.

Thanks

PS., how long does shipping to Canada generally take?

Mine was one of the first shipped and has no issues.
DD said it was a very small number affected and they have since fixed the issue.
