*Drive slowly below 3500 rpm no WOT or hard acceleration until you see STFT rise rapidly followed by LTFT and stay high, this indicates that the petrol is now out of lines and the E85 has made it through the lines and pumps, this generally takes 2 or 3 km

@steve99 or anyone who has the answer, didn't see it anywhere in the thread

Per the OP when switching to E85...What kind of numbers are you going to see to confirm that the petrol is out of the lines and is safe to flash over? I'm guessing by LTFT staying high, greater than 10%?

Anyone have some ballpark numbers here, getting ready to switch to E85 soon.

Yes normally ltft should be below 10% . so when you see it jump from its normal values probably 7% or less then you know the e85 is through and it time to flash e85 tune.

same thing when you switch back to petrol from e85_ fuel trim will jump then its time to flash the petrol tune.

after the flash the fuel trims should be below 10% this confirms you have the fuel and tune matched. once you have driven a few miles with ltft below 10% your good to go.

also check you iam is 1 and you dont have heaps of knock. high fuel trims indicate a fuel and tune mismatch

Just flashed today, how does this look?

Did a pull after about 15miles of the ECU learning. Only one knock correction occurrence, AFR looks normal. LTFT as well. Still approx, ~2gal of 91 in the tank (Calculates to ~E75).

looks good mate,
IAM =1
LT fuel trims below 5%
virtually no knock, you will always get the odd -0.6 correction occasionally, just worry if it over 0.6 and is regular and not just a one off spike.

commanded afr and afr following each other under load

fuel trimsmight move a bit on next tank when its not diluted with a bit of petrol

would you suggest a second reflash of the e85 tune on the second tank (or third) tank of e85 assuming most if not all of the regular gas has been used up?

EDIT: also, how are some people able to log knock correction, oil temp and flkc parameters? i'm using OFT HW 1.00, FW 1.32.

is there a way to get my car to have less problems with cold starting on e85 first fill up it always started instantly, second fill up it almost always needs 2 cranks, now 3rd fill up it even has to crank 3times sometimes.. temperatures here have been pretty much the same.. car drives great though only the tip in knock om some occasions but really perfect 90% of the time.

It's been in the 40s in the morning by me lately. I just feather the gas pedal on start up.

I also adjusted my idle parameters too so I warm up a drop faster as well.

The easy way is to add some regular fuel with the E85, the other way is to tweak some settings in RomRaider, somewhere is a topic about this.
