It looked like any other cat from any other FRS/BRZ, with no noticeable signs of deterioration or uneven deposits, or signs of breakage.

We've broken cats before when we were NA...

It means if you buy a cable a "flash and go" map is just $150 more. If you have a cable and license all you have to do is flash the ECM using the provided rom.

You can ask these questions of Delicious Tuning (Bill or Zach) directly rather than "muck up" this thread. My apologies for the thread jack. Carry on.

We did 20,000 miles of durability testing on the FR-S/BRZ system before we shipped to customers. There are a lot of cars with a lot of miles using a Jackson Racing supercharger system.

OK I see, I misunderstood your typo. You said: "Ours showed to significant sign of deterioration in about 22k miles of being boosted on the CARB tune"

I believe you meant to say no, not to.

I'm more than halfway there, I've got 34.5k on my BRZ with the jrsc carb legal kit with no problems. It's my daily and my occasional track toy and hasn't given me any issues.

I had this kit w/CARB tune installed on my 6AT less than 2 weeks ago by CSG Mike. I've dropped 2K miles the last two weekends on road trips and a couple of canyons without any issues. Oil temps appear fine according to Torque where I'm getting under 230F. Before install, I was getting 32-34 MPG on Auto and 28-30 MPG on Sport. Now I'm getting somewhere around 30-32 MPG on Auto and 25-28 MPG on Sport. I don't think these are telling since this really has to do with your driving habits and my foot has been a lot heaver than when I was stock.

tl;dr Worth it!

I dont get how your MPG isn't more like 20ish.... + or - lol

Meaning you're not enjoying it as much as you should be!

@Calum: I see they're in Escondido and using a Mustang. So I think they may be using the exact same Mustang heartbreaker dyno Delicious is using (whom is also in San Diego); if so, their baselines for FRS/BRZ is 153whp. Which makes their numbers darn good (about 270hp flywheel for 91oct and 340hp flywheel on e85).

I notice many people's JRSC CARB tune dyno results are similar at about 270hp to the flywheel. Nice to hear it's consistent

Has to do with driving habits and the commute. I'm in an automatic and only gun it to speed and coast the rest of the way if it is worth the effort. I don't want to gun it just to slam on my brakes whether it is in traffic or the next stop light that will turn red. A lot of my driving is on the freeway where maybe a mile max out of my day is surface. There's no where to burn gas except traffic and when I launch on an on-ramp. I cruise at constant RPM (~2500 @ 75 MPH). ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ i dunno lol

Keep it out of boost and at freeway speeds and you should get pretty decent MPG (High 20's/low30's).

Thats what I'm getting with 245 MPSS.

I probably average 25ish MPG mixed, mostly city.

We see customers pull in here for dyno work having started off with a remote tune, and they pull up with 34 mpg avg showing on the odometer. So MPG is certainly how you set it and how the person drives it. With a rotrex there's little to no parasitic drag at slow speeds/low loads, so you really shouldn't have much of an impact (maybe 1-2 mpg) when you're just cruising around or even in the city staying out of boost.

Man..I'd love to see Randy Pobst drive a JRSC powered 86 at the track and hear his reviews/thoughts on it.

He had really good things to say about the RCE T2 coilovers. And, again like in past videos, he said the stock 86 just needs a little more power, maybe 100hp. Sounds like he'd love a JRSC 86.

Someone please give him a JRSC 86 to drive and videotape it
