Sorry I misinterpreted. I actually read it a few times before I commented. I read it as a sarcastic comment. There are actually people who believe NASCAR is a lesser sport (like a purist F1 fan), and that is how I read it. Not always easy to tell on the internet.

I agree with everything you said above. I personally don't like the direction that NASCAR is taking the series in many ways, but I understand why they do. Money and ratings drives everything.

The best plate races in recent history, were the 2 car tandem races. A good working pair could work their way up thru the field, and you didn't get 3 lane grid lock. The Red Bull pair of Vickers and Kahne did that a couple times at the last Talladega race, before the tandem was essentially banned.

I'm glad it was a deserving winner this race because sometimes it is not at the restrictor tracks.

Yup, good call. 24 was very fast.

I agree, the racing is 'strange' how the whole field gets caught up and it allows a few to pull away. Excited to see how Talladega turns out.

It will be even more interesting this week to see how the decrease in power and downforce affects things this year. I think I would have preferred they just decreased the downforce. I'll withhold my judgement of it until I see it though.

A bit off topic, but does anyone else think this injury to Kyle Busch is a wake up call? Get the Nascar guys out of driving other series!! Let the Xfinity guys run their races! I dont care about Kyle Busch winning by 10 seconds at a 1.5 mile track over some guy I havent heard of. Let them race.

Should we let Marshawn Lynch go and play college football? Sure it would be funny to see him decimate people there, but he shouldn't.

It's a tough deal. Xfinity teams don't get the sponsors like the Cup teams, so putting a cup driver in helps bring $$$. Some also think it puts more people in the stands for two days, vs. just the Cup race.

It is and I understand that, but it is so boring to see Harvick/Busch etc. dominate the lower levels.

Yep, I see both sides of it. I do enjoy seeing Larson race in both series though
