The Altezza/IS200/IS300 platform had factory tail lights supplied by DEPO. Just the first one off the top of my head.

They were the ones that came out before they had DOT. Most likely JDMs that were wired for USDM but they were advertised as warrantied and sold by an authorized Tom's USA dealer.

Im wondering if you bought these stateside or in AUS. In the USA we are not "supposed" to ship Toms outside the US. TOMS lights are manufactured by Depo a high quality OE supplier and MFG - Most everyone already knows this They also Manufacture 2-3 other taillight that are in our market for FRS.

The US warranty procedure for TOMS and Buddy Club is...

-Call AAI Motorsports and talk to Albert - They would like to deal with all warranties in house and can assist anyone that purchases these from an authorized direct dealer of the Toms products. We are one of a handful of authorized dealers. If any of our customers have problems and are within the warranty from them you will simply need to call or email them and have a proof of purchase and they will get you handled (we never had anyone call back with an issue after they know how to get it handled) - We always advise any of our customers if they run into a roadblock or feel they are not getting the customer service they expect to please call us back so we can assist if needed.

Now if you purchased your product in another country they might have a different procedure.

This is why it is important to not buy from sources that are not authorized direct dealers -

Thanks

Is the manufacturer aware of these issues? If and when you replace these under warranty, does the customer just get another set that has the potential to produce the same results or will they get a set from a new batch with known issues already addressed?

Hi there, Tom's are being sold by a number of sellers in Australia. They are all manufactured in Taiwan and marked as DEPO.

I am yet to figure out if the so called 'manufacturer scar' is true and should be flagged by DEPO as a defect or is it melting plastic which could make it a hazard.

Wouldn't want anybody to neglect a fire issue. But it appears to be a manufacturer defect and I was only recommending the vinyl as a correction for the issue visually. I want to by these TOM's for my other FR-S as I have a set of TOM's JDM Reds on a Whiteout. Best of luck resolving this OP.

All I'm getting are emails asking for a piece of information at a time. Nothing about sending a replacement yet or anything so far, and its like I send an email and wait a day... get a reply, send email... wait another day or two, get a reply. I've gotten more help from FTEightysix so far than I have from the company.
