Hello all, I'm currently having an issue getting a warranty replacement since I've been told that it's a minor issue and it was caused by metal plate coupler after being moulded.

They call it a manufacturing scar.

I'm located in Australia and just wondering if any owners around the globe came across similar scar.

Thank you

I'd be calling them every single day until they sent new ones.

Sketchy company if they refuse to replace that obvious defect.

Well, I guess I won't be buying anything from them now. That's just ridiculous.

I just private messaged him. Hopefully he notices before it's too late.

Which company did you order these lights from?

extrashaky 02-22-2015 01:30 PM

Can you see it with the trunk closed?

I would consider that a defect and would keep fighting with them. A "manufacturing scar" is still a defect.

Or, you can make it the vendor's problem. Have you contacted the vendor to discuss getting a replacement from them? If you paid with a credit card, you can always dispute the charge for defective merchandise. If you paid with PayPal, you can open a dispute with them.

I have that as well on my left tail, albiet much smaller. I noticed it day one, mine's not really an issue to me, but I understand the frustration. :/

Hope it all works out for you.

If its hot enough to melt hard plastic, its hot enough to catch fire... I wouldn't call that a non-issue.

It seems like the issue is caused during the manufacturing process, not from the heat of the light.

I really hope this "scar" isn't the norm on the TOMS taillights. They're on my list to go.

Please explain what's melting it? As I stated, I noticed mine on DAY ONE, and it hasn't gotten any worse. Thus indicating it's a manufacturing defect. LOL, try reading once in a while.
