Yup, I've considered it. You may see it implemented in my future products! Some elements of my design are the way it is right now, because I'm restricted by a combination of limitations from my initial suppliers, manufacturers, and capital.

If these guys put a big wing like this on their cars, where would they put their massive egos?
So the middle ground of the grocery getters and professional racers would probably include 75% of forum members, including myself. People who tweak and personalize their cars to look and drive the way they want. I can't imagine there are many of us that have this in mind while shopping for mods...

ya never know when you're going to run in the unlimited class at pikes peak ya know...

i'd like to see this giant one mounted to a car and I'd like to see at what point it makes the front come off the ground or that it destroys the trunk lid.

Now if you could couple it directly to the suspension uprights like they did in F1 and Can-Am.......

Never happen. He's run simulations, man! On just the wing! Don't you understand? He's already explained as well as he can to us plebes that the physics of his wing is beyond our understanding, and that it will apply downforce to the entire car, especially at the front.

If OP isn't looking for the DD market, or the Professional race team market, then where does this lie?

Even if it does perform great, it may not have that much of a market, even a niche one.

For people who aren't "rice haters" or "number crunchers", something like the RB or Seibon Carbon wings will be more like what they get. Even those are a bit overkill for everyday use outside of the track.

Unless OP can make this for less than those, and have it perform better, and make it road and AX legal, I don't see this selling all that well, except for maybe the show car crowd. But then you have the catch 22 of why would performance matter on a show car?

lucid stop being so logical!

What are the odds that someone on a computer running sims is going to discover something that has been missed by 1 century of Aviation Engineers, another century of Automotive Engineers, Billions/Trillions of dollars spent in research, rolling road wind tunnels, and the knowledge of Adrian Newey, and DaVinci have not been able to find. Pretty slim I'd say. IMHO

I've changed my mind. I'm now interested in this wing. I want to put it on a Subaru Crosstrek and add a bicycle mount to it so that the wing protects the bikes in inclement weather. Also, maybe some tent material to camp under it. Or maybe a fold-out camp kitchen. I'm seeing the possibilities now.

It'll be improved as soon as he rewrites the Laws of Physics.

OP will not be deterred by you ignorant nattering nabobs. OP might want to ask for a refund from his school, though, if he was taught to make claims about his product before he has actual tested hardware.
