All in all not much difference between each. S13 I would say is actually still the best one to buy because of how much cheaper it is than the others. People will still pay ridiculous money just to have an s15 SR w/6spd.

T28 turbo and VTC they added when they started using the newer blacktop with the intro of the s14 made a good bump in torque.

SRs are pretty damn awesome. S15 T28 turbo with injectors, midmount i/c, and exhaust will pull like 280whp with super fast spool. Awesome spot for a fun street car. Or add a 2871 with cams and exhaust manifold with a decent tune and you're sitting at the mid 300whp mark.

Shame the FA20 takes so much to get to that without the worries of it grenading.

The FA20 seems to produce big time torque compared to the SR though. (with a turbo, I mean)

The WORST car i've ever driven was a 2010 Aveo. However, that was not the most disappointing, because I assumed it would be awful and was only slightly shocked that it was worse than I expected.

The most disappointing would have to go to the 2010 camaro SS. It's ENORMOUS yet I felt horribly cramped inside. There is so much wasted space in the car from a design and packaging standpoint it's insane. The clutch was way too heavy and the shifter had awful feel. I drove an auto later and it was boring. The steering was not awful but not great either. The car is so heavy, 400+ hp doesn't even feel all that much, and while I don't mind the styling overall, I don't think it's aged well - they look dated and are pretty much still looking the same when new now. I hated it.

I use to own a Mitsubishi Outlander Sport...

Very cheap build, cheap plastic on the inside but the worst thing was the power/torque. It was very difficult to get that CUV going and if you mash the peddle it erupted in engine noise but it wasn't going anywhere fast. I traded it in and got a Highlander and couldn't be happier...

My experience with Mitsubishi's hasn't been great...

Most disappointing: '10 M3. I went to a program at the BMW plant in SC and we got to drive 5 BMW's around a small track. The M3 definitely wasn't bad, but I expected a hell of a lot more from how people talk about it. In fact (and this may be sacrilege to most people), I actually enjoyed driving the Z4 with the twin turbo I6 a lot more. Something about 2 seats and the exhaust of a I6 crackling away behind me stuck with me more than driving the M3

When they first came out, you could run circles around a Fiero with a MK1 MR2. Later though, after some suspension changes and the intro of the V6 engines, they weren't bad cars (I'd still rather have the MK1 MR2).


The nice thing about them is there is enough room to stuff a LS engine under the hood though if you really wanted something that could eat tires!

most of these cautionary tales of cars being underwhelming are usually people not understanding what the car was quite set out to be. mustangs not handling well, frs not being fast etc.

What? the Fiero was mid-engine. How could you fit an LS engine in there? I remember that with the I-4 engine, water would drip down from the engine air vent onto the drive belts and if there was enough water and it got cold enough, they would freeze up. Nice design.
