I don't have the patience to read 210 pages...
no one knows the causes and solution for this yet?

Just armchair quarterbacking.

Drive the hell out of it, there's no problem.

Edit: So there's zero confusion, nobody knows and there is no 100% fix, you can scroll through the thread to see what people advocate and what makes sense for you.

At this point there have been zero fuel pump problems other than "it's noisy".

My 2015 just got crickets, and I only fed her Chevron 94. The reason I bought a 2015 was because I was told to chirping problem was solved. BS

Now I have a nice looking car that sounds like my grandmas rusted out Chevy Cavalier from the early 90's! :sadpanda:

I think it's absolutely hilarious this thread is still so active.

We should change the title to

"Engine idle chirping (cricket) noise, not an issue, move along. Seriously guys, stop adding two stroke oil to your fucking cars"

Mine have crept back in as I near 36k miles and a year and a half of silence.

Doesn't matter though, left the pads in from the track day, they squeal like stuck pigs after a few weeks of daily driving, nobody is looking at me because of the chirping fuel pump.

There are just under 7000 km (4350 mi).

And as for the ass-hats who suggest ear plugs, that doesn't stop the car from sounding like shit. It just stops you from hearing how shitty it sounds.

I noticed this on my series blue brz. Car has 1800 miles and when in netrual i hear the cricket noise.. So this is normal then? I was about to call the dealer to have them take a look, but if this is normal for the fa20 engine then i wont waste my time.

I get crickets every now and then but most times my tunes are loud so it drowns it out.....notice it's apparent when my tank gets to 1/4 tank...I only use Chevron Premium.
