Can you link the explanation? I looked and couldn't locate it.

I got in an "argument" in the facebook thread. The guy downright discredits my case of having 255/40s on a 17x9" wheel on the front. All he says is "255's on 9's simply don;t fit under the fenders at +35." Guy was quite a twat if you as me.

Perhaps you run different model tires. "wide" 255 will not fit. "normal" 255 will. 949's assumption is worst case scenario.

Yeah, RE11A run narrow. Try a RS3, AD08R, or 595RSR and you might find a different outcome.

Could also be a question of the camber you are running, vs what they think is appropriate...

Kind of like artistic license, they have an opinion as the creator, and it cannot be trumped as they are the creator

Hahahah good comparison. I ran that way at -1 degree for one season and -2 for last year. No rubbing at the fender either way. They do rub on the inside of the fender liner though (at the INSIDE of the wheel well, not the outside near the fender) which is why i was worried about a +45 and was chatting to them about it.

Like I like these wheels but too bad they don't look the same in 17s as they do in the smaller 15s.

Yeah, and they want the offset to be further in when its rubbing on the inside. Let's mash the toe rod while they are at it too.
