I wouldn't consider myself to be a heavy user of the ESC. Does this align with what others are seeing? Would I still have bought the kit knowing i'd be getting an average of 25 MPG? You bet!
I have been hitting 23-24mpg with the ESC on 93, 26 mpg before. I think I was running about 19 on E85, but I drive about 95% city. I have gotten about 31 mpg on highway (200 mile trip) with a few WOT passes.

Ok thanks for the info.

All I asked for was a picture with better lighting and got nothing but flak in return for trying to be defend this system. Valeo, a French company, is producing a version that I believe European Mfg's will likely employ on their vehicles. It would be nice to see something happen on this side of the pond, since Robb has been hard at work here.
And, yes, I'm still trying to find the disposable income to entitle me to be placed on the LIST. I may be considered an idiot, but at least I'm not being a Jack@$$.

I wasn't calling you an idiot, just referencing the idiots that think this is a gimmick/repetitively doubt what its doing despite MANY users/dyno's/proof!
Wasn't my intention to make you feel like an idiot, as that wasn't directed at you! My bad!

If no one gets a photo up, I'll snap one for you tomorrow night/this weekend!

Also, get on that list anyway! Worst case your "spot" comes up in line and you can always pass. But at least get on the list so you have a spot in line!

And I was referencing vtec as a joke since I am childish man who likes to make fun of Hondas.

I think everyone was playing with each other here, no worries man. I don't have one right now, but I know there are a few pics of the compressor wheel in this thread someplace.

You mean my computer doesn't dump 150+ amps through a 5 kW motor controller to each fan???

You're looking at a 6-8 months wait for Phantom ESC.

5 mpg seems a bit steep but "heavy user of the ESC" is very subjective. I think I lost about 3 mpg but I went from never flooring it to flooring it a few times on each drive.

Has Rob considered crowd funding for this? Could raise a fair bit of capital for research and development while having working kits to prove it's not snake oil. You know what? I bet he has and has opted not to go down that route.
Sigh, I just want him to shut up and take my money dammit! i know he doesn't say much which just leaves the money taking ha ha. Wait too much longer and we will all be in electrics and running hydrogen

@gtfapollo
There's roughly 30 '86 kits in the wild. Many like myself, have been running in the neighborhood of a year. Now add the OpenFlash NC Miata kits to that, and I'd say this project is well beyond the snake oil proof phase. Rob's ESCs work, and they're reliable.

Waiting is tough, but worth it. Hang in there man.
