Quick question, when I try to edit the 2.0 files with the 2.0 XML files I get two checksum errors rather than 1. Is it still OK to edit and flash? Also what are people using for the delta values for FFS?

I have to disagree with this statement based upon 3 years of testing with 5 different aftermarket intakes, excluding Grimmspeed.

![]() First off, don't load the UEL E85 tune on your stock EL header. Use the E85 EL OTS tune. The stage 2 OTS map doesn't need such aggressive VVT crossover, thus yes, the sound will be dimished or gone completely. |

Celadrielas,
Perrin CAI, FA20club CAI, Airaid, Injen CAI, Greddy, fail when it comes to MAF placement/priority (in my opinion/experience). They seemed to forget what the factory and Grimmspeed understand, the MAF housing and the air straightener are extremely important. I've bought and sold alot of intakes. Save your money for a Grimmspeed or improve the factory airbox , like I did for my daughters car. All specs are in signature

An intakes primary function is to supply CLEAN air to the motor. Since the air cleaner is for cleaning air, a larger surface area reusable filter means less dirt, less cleaning, as long as it does not restrict more than stock. I got the original TRD for that reason, not that the team reported extra ponies because of the intake (wouldn't the ribs in the intake hose cause turbulence, slow down volume ? or not).

I'd rather have the torque dip then this noise tbh. It's annoying to have a 4k rev limit reminder always on :/ But hopefully I won't have to deal with it too long, just decided to get an UEL header. Now time to see if any OFH are in stock.

If you're pretty impartial though, try picking up a reputable header in the members classifieds. got my never installed OFH for $400 free shipping.. couldn't beat that |

In any case, aftermarket intakes give you almost no bang for your buck.

I'm no expert but a raw dyno plot is pretty rough. This one has about a 10hp swing between ~5900 and 5950rpm.
http://smg.photobucket.com/user/DLSJ...s_EVO.jpg.html I assume the way it works is the dyno gets instantaneous load readings, and it's not terribly precise. If you ran that same car on the same dyno you could absolutely see those points shift enough that you see a 10hp loss or gain at any given rpm. Smoothing tries to compensate for that while adding its own error. Quote:
