Would you say MAF scaling is something the average person can do or am I better off swapping back to my stock airbox with k&n filter for now? (for now being until I am more familiar with oft and tuning in general) I have easy access to e85 and 93 octane. I would like to try e85 from time to time to see what all the hype is about

Just scaling the maf will work for stage1 tunes, but on stage 2 and E85 tunes you may also have to do some fueling and timing adjustments if you have a different intake to stock. You plan to put on stock intake with maybe a drop in filter would be best till you becoke more familiar with logging romraider and basic tuning. especially if your going to try various tunes as the oft tunes are all done for stock intake with or without drop in filter and intake tube , you can also mod snorkel if you rearly kean. |

I wonder what the gains would be on a Skunk Intake, Namless FP/OP and a DC Sports catack.

Heaven forbid an "old" thread is bumped
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Internet police really never give it a break. And my question was posed with the idea of having the OFT as well

The only piece in that lot that will give a small gain is the Nameless FP/OP Skunk intakes like many intakes will throw of the MAF sensor scaling and may make car hesitate or bog without proper tuning. Just get a drop in filter for stock airbox you will get most of the gain you will get from an intake Catbacks rearly just for sound, little or no gain have a read of the Basic bolt on Mods link below :-) Gains without forced induction come from Catless Header + tune and (then E85 fuel+tune for e85) |

So does anyone know what headers work better for the twins???? By now we all know that Injen CAI is the best for the twins... I heard Tomei or Borla headers are the way to go... agree or disagree???
EDIT: I have the Invidia N1 cat back and the Injen Cold air intake, so my next step is headers but I want to make sure I get the right brand. ps- after the headers Im going for a tune...

I'm not sure it's a cold air intake as it has no cold air feed...

its been dyno tested and proved so the Injen is the best... also, change stock snorkel for HKS air duct and now you have yourself a proper air intake system

Regarding the headers themselves, if you're planning to get OFT anyway, I'd get the new OFH3 with it. You get a tune that's designed for the header and it's known to make really good peak HP and eliminate the torque dip. I'm seriously considering going this route when I can afford to but I prefer the EL sound. Unfortunately the good EL headers require custom ECUTek tunes to take full advantage which is $$$$. |

On an NA car their no real difference tuning for uel or EL headers with OFT Ecutek or Tactrix, you just need to get a tuner to do it. |
