If that's a special edition, I hope to God that doesn't become the next Release Series or some other series for the next year in Scion.

Looks like an FR-S and a Fiat 500 had an ugly baby.

I want that front end. There are pics of that or a similar one that look very Jaguar-y. Nothing on the front of the stock car matches the rest of the lines anyway.

i think i read from the reddit thread on this topic that the cb is geared more towards women. I wonder if they would make the suspension softer if they're going the "luxury" route with the cb...

personally i hate it and wish they released the convertible

2nd link in the original post addresses the "made for women" thing.

It's 100% aimed at being more luxurious/stylish/appealing to females.

I like the interior stuff. The front end looks terrible, IMO.

Also kinda ridiculous how many years in a row they keep adding minor tweaks... like the EPS tweaks this time. Why couldn't they have done that last year or the year before? c'mon now.

It wouldn't be a bad looking car if they formed the body and back to the front. Right now it looks like a siamese twin.

I see what they were trying to do.

I think they just missed it a bit, in the execution.

I'm not 100% satisfied with the front bumper styling of my own little Scion, it's too Camry-esque. The BRZ bumper is better but the matte black 'mustache' is just weird. I'd even be willing to buy a different bumper if all the current offerings weren't so d@mn ricey. :-/

Everyone here has a hard on for 'classic toyota' and 'classic Japanese' and 'simple great sports cars'

Toyota makes 86 with circular headlights and soft lines like the 2000GT & Sports 800 and other classics of the era (Porsche, BMW, Mazda, MG).

"Ew gross"

With everyone doing 'squinty aggressive with gaping mouth' front ends I'd take this option given the choice, shame it would probably cost several thousand bucks to redo an FR-S in this style (and probably wouldn't look too great on my gray car, soft edges lend themselves to light colors)

Also lmao Toyota builds car "for women" puts 18" wheels and BBK. That'll increase the ride quality fo sho.

Maybe that is a hint of what the mid-model run refresh will look like. Ewww, at least, if that were the case, there are 75K early ones running around in the US to chose from.

They seem lost for what to do with the car. Mr. Tada is no doubt working hard to build a car to redeem his reputation after bringing us the car everyone says sucks, but having no luck with the suits.

ETA Evey one of these goofy special editions only increase the value of a stock version, at least IMO.
