What proof do you have that the Toyota (Esso) synthetic causes engine wear at the recommended changing interval?
@Dezoris and others performed a Blackstone oil analysis and it came back healthy |

its 0w when the engine get hot it doesnt lubricate anymore its just to get efficiency rating as it gives less mechanical losses at the cost of having to never get any use of your motors full potential. i personal have seen what the wrong oil does to race engines ona dyno. not worth losing compression

(I would never do that again BTW because oil pressure is too low) Quote:
Your comment would only apply to those on track doing extended lapping. For a non-eco versions of 0W20 like Redline, Motul etc. the oils are so advanced that they hold up extremely well to heat, beyond their optimal heat ranges. However 225F is the max you want to run the performance 0w20s and thats only because of oil pressure dropping. (Oil thinning) Not due to degradation. Unless you are running on the track or have FI especially in cold climates a good 0w20 is perfect. Running high quality synthetic/thinnest oil possible is good thing these days (Power and Efficiency) as long as you watch pressures and temps.
