Good man!

I did a full opti-coat and skipped the bra thinking the opti-coat would be good enough. Big mistake. The opti-coat is totally worth it but it's not a clear bra substitute. My car still looks freshly waxed after a simple handwash...aside from the sandblasted front bumper.

I had a good experience with them and it turned out great. I believe my car was one of their first opticoating job they did. I left my car with them on a Friday and picked it up on a Monday. They required for the car to cure in their shop for at least a day. With the detail, opticoat, 5 year warrantee ($100) and black paint surcharge the total was 805. The 5 year warrantee was optional but I wanted to make sure I was covered. The reasons why choose them are the reviews and JB was the only one that I could find at the time as a certified installer.

If you get it done their it'll be their second black brz they do!

Are planning tinting? If so where, so I can do mine too!

Haven't done much research on tinting yet, but found this place. A bit pricey but looks good. http://www.carmeltint.com/

List of parts/items I have planned:
  • 15208AA130 Oil filters
  • Motul 1L GEAR 300 75W90 (holding off on this for now)
  • Fumoto Drain valve
  • Rhino Ramps
  • Weathertech floor mats
  • Interior plastics because the silver is ugly
  • Smoked side markers
  • Shark fin antenna
  • OEM arm rest
  • K&N Drop in filter
  • OFT/OFH
These are all for maintenance purposes, I will be starting a build thread when the car comes and post pics!

-The gear oil i have the same and no complaints.. just dont do it till maybe after 2.5-3k miles initially. I did it at 1k(to remove metal shavings) and always thought i could have let things settle more.
-Dino ramps work but once you lower the car, they wont fit.. unless as mentioned you use the wood.
-Oil filters- maybe just one for the first oil change after your break in- you have two oil changges included with the car starting at 7.5k so use them then buy your stuff.. just my advice.
-Fumoto drain valve.. i love it!

Cosmetics stuff.. you're on your own, as long as you like it there's no wrong or right.

Some people like the antenna? I do. :shrugs:

Panorama II / S

Anyone have experience with these? I'm planning on getting a dash cam in the front and rear, need to be able to record at night, be fairly cheap ( <$150 each) have good quality, and decent recording time. Also, ease of setup would be nice, I don't feel like tearing my car apart when it comes :P
