Having lived in California, Texas, and Florida, I'd rate them;

1. California
2. Florida
3. Texas

I like all three for different reasons, and all have their own short comings of course.

But where do I shoot my AR? And how much jail time am I looking at when I get caught with a .45 on my hip?

Those are two questions that most Texans would want to know the answer to before heading west young man.

Venture into Central Texas and I bet most people would be happy to make the move, especially with the low cost of living comparison.
You are more likely to get shot than even get arrested. 5-10 cars will show up and they will have twitchy fingers. You can't testify if you aren't alive.
AR is legal. BUT you have to modify it. 1. no handgun style grip, must be rifile style. 2. no auto is allowed, so you have to have 10 clip max with "tool"(ring with nub to release clip) to remove clip, or load one at a time. There are ways around it which are gray area.

LOL, keep thinking that. You have the early stages of a fatal CAncer. We do too. Parasites that vote to kill the host.

What does "auto" have to do with magazine or "clip" size? Do you mean "select-fire" or "machine gun"? You can still possess a "machine gun" but the hoops are monumental. And you can also buy an AR-15 that looks almost normal. LOL at CA retard laws. See the CARB gas-can abortion. The problem is that the stupidity from that state leaks out.

I have my names mixed up. Thanks for letting me know. I don't know too much about guns except we are not free like Texas or anywhere really. California is the best and worst state. No select fire. No mag quick release without "tool". No pistol grip. No concealed carry. 10 round max.

I have nothing against the Germans at all until one of them that is too young to comprehend that he could be speaking Russian this very minute belittles the people that helped keep the bloody SS20s out of his living room!

I don't know OnkelC personally, but I think you might be underestimating him here.
Please keep in mind that there are deep and ugly wounds left over from both WW2 and the cold war all over Europe.
My family suffered, many German families suffered. All we want is to acknowledge lessons learned and move on.
If you don't mind.

I am first-generation Hungarian. My parents lived through it as well. It is very recent history and my fellow German friends had as much to do with it as I had.

Remember, acknowledge, learn, grow...

I am a veteran-turned-pacifist. I don't claim to know the answer, only what it isn't.

Due to the no politics rule I will reframe from answering you the way it should be answered!
The fact his parents were glad we were there remains I do however retract the second part of my reply to Mr. OnkelC.

We don't have those intersections in Europe. We have roundabouts. There are rules there too, and they don't apply in real life either. The most effective way to traverse an european roundabout is to look as you are oblivious of your surroundings and just plow straight into it. Toilet style.
round-a-bouts terrify americans, they tend to just stop at them and look in wonder.
