My guess is you probably have a vacuum leak. Unless you have some intake that changes the intake piping size so much it requires MAF scaling, an intake wouldn't really cause a rough idle.

Is it actually a rough idle though? Or is it the usual fluctuation these cars seem to have (drove us NUTS trying to figure that out when we started tuning these cars). Aftermarket intake and exhausts might just make you notice it more since they make a lot more noise than the stock kit.

We'll today the CEL popped on again, last time I took it in they said it might come back on because the aftermarket stuff I have. Trying to get it to where I can not have it come on every other week I drive lol

And it's pretty inconsistent dropping. Sometimes steeping than a few hundred down to below 500

Or if I went OFT route would someone else that has one be able to help me out? Or can you only use it on one car sorta deal. I'd pay for the help if possible

Did they tell you what code/s it's throwing? That would tell you want it is. Go to Autozone or somewhere that will read codes for free and see what they tell you it is. If you can get the P-code, that'd work too.

I still say vacuum leak, probably from the intake install.

Unfortunately OFTs are VIN locked so even if somebody had one they wouldn't be of much help to you.

If anyone is interested in joining the MR2 group on the Valentines Day Twisted Sisters run, the caravan is leaving the ATS Racing parking lot at 8am Friday 2/13. Shop address is:

2120 James St
Denton, TX 76205

They are all staying at the YO Ranch in Kerrville, so that's where they are headed. The route is E85 friendly, but it's not a bad idea to bring a full jug with you. People will have some in the caravan so you can work that out if needed, but nobody needed to last time.

At this time no group hotel discounts have been set up, sorry. They do have their own current specials though: YO Ranch Hotel and Conference Center Valentines Day specials.

Nobody from ATS will be in the caravan down for various reasons, but the parking lot is still the DFW meeting spot. If anyone wanted to drive down with me for whatever reason let me know, I'd gladly meet you somewhere. But I'm driving with my wife and 2-month old baby, so I'll be going slow and possibly stopping a few times. I'm also going straight to San Antonio, and will meet everyone at the hotel parking lot Saturday morning before the 9am start.

Hope to see some of you there! Like I said, this one is super half assed because it was so last minute, and technically not "our" run like the November ones.

I know but we still won't be of much help to him unless that person is willing to reflash back to stock, unmarry their OFT, and marry it to his car. At this point you might as well be selling it to him. This is of course assuming it isn't a vacuum leak which is what I'm thinking it is.


On another note anybody have any experience with PRT Performance in Lewisville? Their website has pretty good pricing, but I was just curious prior to doing any business with them.

Extreme last call for the DFW area guys that want to head down with others for the Twisted Sisters run tomorrow.

Group is leaving the shop (2120 James St, Denton) at 9am sharp.

If you're going and not driving down with them, we are leaving the YO Ranch parking lot at 9am Saturday.
