I'm in love with my Perrin 3". The quality is absurd and its two bolts to take the stock system off, two bolts to put the Perrin on. Took me longer to install footwell lighting.

Yeah, the cat-back on this car is ridiculously easy to remove and install. It takes me longer to get the car on stands than it does to swap the exhaust.

TRD Exhaust Reviews?

It's an awesome exhaust with an awesome sound and very good quality.

If you can get it for a cheap price go for it.

I can add, it's not cops magnet, then you are not supposed to have any problems with cops...

If you want to stay with oem part, it's your only choice.

I know he exist a lot of exhaust for this car now... Some are cheap and another are a very good quality. But for me, and for the price I got it, it's the best choice.

I mean quality vs sound... But I don't really worry about HP gain, I think it's around 2.5whp... I don't care.

So this TRD exhaust fits perfectly on a BRZ as-is?

Cool. I just couldn't find anybody who's done it. I guess I need to refine my search criteria.

How can you go wrong?

Pros:
-Lighter than stock
-Sounds great - sport, not a racing exhaust so its not obnoxiously loud
-Loud when you want it to be like in the tunnels at 80+ or when making a point in low gears.
-Quiet at low rpm around town so the popo dont take notice.
-Cheap, it came on my certified preowned
-Warranty, Warranty, Warranty
-Since I purchased a certified preowned that is 100K mi powertrain!

Cons
-Yea it drones at 75mph but that is what my 10 speaker factory audio system is for.
-Other aggressive drivers hear you approaching and want to race. Fun, but dangerous, illegal, and gets old after awhile.

Why is warranty a con?

I really like mine and found that part of the high speed drone was because it was resonating with the intake sound tube. Plugged the tube and a pile of the drone went away (and you don't need to pipe intake noise in when you have the exhaust anyway).

You will not loose any warranty because you have the TRD exhaust or an others exhaust don't worry...

Unless of course they can pin the problem on the aftermarket exhaust.
TRD would be fine even then which is why I wondered why Patrick had it as a con.

Until you hammer it or do a high rev down shift!

Can be pretty loud during cold starts but tones down after a couple of minutes
