I had few 90s and 80s japanese cars... had an AE86 before and Im looking to build another 86. Also had an NA6 miata but its gone too.
For now I have R31 skyline coupe (GCC spec and LHD which is very very rare) spent 8 years looking for a decent one to keep.

Other jdm cars I dream of having... 22B GC8, FD3S, S30Z, and any S-chassis

Climb around and drive an 84 200SX or 300ZX and you will get a very good feeling about how the Skylines of that era were put together and drive. The suspension arrangement is identical.

Mine used to be nice, once. Rust is an insidious foe.

That is indeed a nice skyline but never liked the fj20 engines.... love those which came with L24/28 engines (love that inline-6 sound)

Besides the MR2 I mentioned above here's a couple of other, more quirky ones, I'd like to bring back from the dead....

1977 or so Honda Civic CVCC Wagon. Has to be Green, and would have a front bumper guard and meaty tires on the back. Why? First car I ever paid serious (more than $1000) for. I loved that car, and once carried 12 drunk Frat pledges in it 20 miles to piss on a rock in front of another frat house. The problem is they have probably all rusted away by now. They had SERIOUS rust issues in the fenders, particularly if they ever got salt on them, so bad Honda had to recall them and replace the fenders. Best picture I could find.

1968-1975 Opel GT. When I was just learning to drive my neighbor had one that I just fell in love with. Looked like this (the car, not the neighbor):

They only came with L20s, though.

The L20s were still great engines, though, even being 2.0. People though mine was a stock FJ20ET and were surprised to see an intercooled and boosted up L20ET under the hood of most of the R30s I've had.

I like the FJ20; it's brutal. The top chain tensioner was a flaw, but there's a trick to replace the oil-pressurized tensioner with a spring-loaded one.

They will never sound as good as a full tilt L-Gata, though.

Oh, man. I had a GT. It was a complete shitbox, but only because it was old and rusty. Even in that state the car had so much going for it. I would snap one up in a minute at a decent price.
