Been a few weeks for me on the stage 1 and still no CEL. Without the tune it would be back every 2-3 days

I'm guessing you'd be getting codes other than P0420 if you had a crack/leak, based on the 2 cases that have happened thus far:

1st case - didn't mention any codes
2nd case - P0171 and P01170

I was getting P0420 more and more consistently with Stage 1, and was getting sick of resetting my pedal response every time to clear the code, so I just turned off the code in RomRaider.

Great to hear. I think I'll need to turn things off in RomRaider. Is there a quick tutorial for that located on the forums?

I looked around a few places to figure out the procedure. It's fairly straightforward, here's a rough breakdown:

1. Go here: http://www.openflashtablet.com/Autom...ads/index.html

2. Download RomRaider tuning software

3. Download the RomRaider XML definition files for your OTS tune version (should be included in the .zip file containing your tunes)

4. Run RomRaider, import the XML definition files

5. Open your Stage 1 tune in RomRaider

6. Find the field on the left column for P0420 code, double-click or whatever to bring it up in the right-side GUI

7. Should be set to "On", change to "Off"

8. Save tune to a new file name

9. Upload to your OFT, flash new ROM to your car

**Wrote this from memory, so feel free to correct any inaccuracies**

What over pipe and catted front pipe combo work best or are preferred with these headers? Or if anyone can point me in the right direction and help me figure it out that would be great too.

Thanks,

Carlos

Thank you for the input, @kodoyo. That is the setup I was eyeing, how is the fit with the rest of your exhaust?

Probably already been asked, but the thread is massive.

How is the sound level after upgrading to this particular header? I know its different per setup, but would you say the car is a lot louder/same as stock after adding this header (assuming you had your other parts installed previously).

Bonus points if someone has my current setup is Invidia overpipe, invidia catted frontpipe, invidia Q300 and can give me some insight.

Noise levels is a major concern for me since I park in an underground lot, and everytime I start my car I'll wake up a few car alarms. (I ended up changing from an N1 to Q300, to stop pissing off neighbors)

Has anyone had their cars emissions tested after having upgraded to this header?

with a Q300 and a catted FP, you don't have to worry about that... with the catted header noise level barely increases at all...

if you go with the catless version, noise will increase, but will still be rather tame and quiet with the Q300.

Here's how it sounds with full exhaust setup.

Had no issues at all with fitment. The whole system lined up perfectly.

Only issue was getting OEM overpipe out. To put the aftermarket one in, I went from the front side before installing the header.

I've seen the vids, but as usual it's sometimes hard to tell. The N1 didn't seem so bad, til I had it on my car. lol.

I have a similar setup:
Ft86SF header, motiv overpipe, carted motiv front pipe, and Greddy SP Elite axle back.

A little more rumble at higher loads, a little more rumble on cold starts, and just a little bit louder overall. I've never felt like it was too loud. You have a pretty conservative setup, so I'd be surprised if you thought the noise was too much.

Should sound similar to my set up

Even with catless front pipe, Q300 manage to keep it quiet. It is even quieter than N1 as only exhaust mod. Im currently running catless after the header + q300. It is still very quiet.
