Anyway, I'll be quiet. If it doesn't bother the OP in the least then I should probably just keep my trap shut. Sorry if I offended any of you by calling you assholes assholes! (See what I did there?) Just kidding, really!

No biggie about the holes on the car. I initially wanted no holes, but then I looked up the law and it required a front license plate. I'm not going to put a plate on my dash because that will block my view.
Also the dealer said they will be liable for any fines and fees if I get pulled over by a cop because I did not have front plates even if I said don't put them there. That's apparently the law here in Washington state. The shots were shot on my friend's Canon Mark II I think... Some observations about the car: 1. I can feel the road on the gas pedal, like if the road is texture cement I definitely felt it more on the gas pedal than the steering wheel. I dont feel the road on the gas pedal on my imp 08. 2. the electric steering on the brz reminds me of my logitech momo arcade wheel. It makes the same whirrling sound when you aggressively turn the wheel. Not really a bad thing but something I noticed. 3. the head unit is akward to use, especially with the virtual buttons on the touch screen being so small and akwardly placed. The gps nav is okay too, not as good as a garmin in terms of ease of use but it gets the job done. 4. The hids are adjustable and are very cool (first time I ever had one in a car)5. I've been getting lots of attention with the car, like getting a thumbs up from a shelby mustang guy, people pulling out their cellphones and taking pictures of the brz while they drive. All my friends who came to see the car were like "WOW it's so low" 6. Seating is not cramped, I am just 5'4 though. Visibility from the seat is also good. 7. Backseats are useless for anyone with legs. 8. The alcantara leather seats are pretty nice, first time I have had these kind of seat material. Very grippy 9. Seats bolster well during aggressive cornering. 10. Currently the engine is idling a little low (700 rpm), up from 500 rpm from yesterday. My impreza does the same thing when the ecu is reset, I think it takes a few days for it to idle at the right spot. 11. The engine note is gorgeous in the car. It sounds like the intake manifold and not the exhaust which makes a more growling sound. My friend agrees, and my gf thinks it is sexy. 12. The car's interior and exterior styling definitely keeps growing on me. I liked it to begin with but it just gets getting sexier by the day. 13. The car has a uniform color on the gauges and the stereo color, both of them are orange-redish. 14. Dual zone climate definitely works for me and my gf, since she likes warmer AC than me. Worth while investment for me. 15. The floor mats can be a little slippery if you have metal shoe heels (some pumas have them) 16. The AT was a little bit confused on gearing when I was going up hill, it wont downshift unless you give it a little bit more power (around half way pressed on teh gas). It will stay at around 2k rpm. The hill I am talking about is 3 S-turns slung together on quite a steep angle, so you can't really go fast. 17. I love the BRZ!

Orange lights match? Thank god. Hope it's the same in the Premium.
Regarding plates: offset plate looks terrible on the BRZ. Initially, I wanted no holes in my bumper and to use the GrimmSpeed (or similar) tow-hook plate relocation kit, but it looks terrible IMO. Pretty sure I've seen that purple Evo on a cover or two before. |

Thanks for the review! The gas pedal feel... Is it sort of obnoxious or just different and something you think you'll get used to rather fast?

It's not really obnoxious, I think I'll get used to it. I also was using really thin soled shoes, so that factors in quite a bit

Nothing that creepy yet ![]() I did the paperwork on a thursday (~2 hrs) then around (3 hours) the next day for all the introduction to the car, handoff, and I agreed to take pictures of the car for Joe Spitz for his cars101.com site. |
