Sounds just like Canada/USA and other places.

Red long life coolant on models produced before 08/2003, pink super long life coolant on models produced after 08/2003, and blue super long life on 86/FR-S.

Hey there ! I just got one of these 4L cans of blue coolant - definitely Japanese but the cap appears sealed - have any idea how to open it ? Looks like i gotta pierce the metal cap but I'm not game to do that in case any sh1t finds its way in in the process ! Never seen one of these cans before - odd :/

Thanks bud

Normally you push down in the middle of the cap & it pops off. Then you can use it again

Does any one try to use completely waterless coolant that outlast the car ?
I am thinking to get some when i get my car, so no rust or any other problems will be in my cooling system

Looks interesting but have not heard of anyone using it. If you do, let us know how it works. I did see that you have to make sure all the water is out of the system. Would have been great if something like this came from the factory

Jay Leno use this stuff on his most expensive cars,if he does not use for long time.

it is multiple times more expensive, but you change it only once
go and look for Wheeler.Dealers.S09E12.Triumph.TR6

Only problem is i can't get in Lithuania, i will need to try to ship it ( how much does BRZ use for cooling ? i was unable to find in service manual)

don't buy into this stuff. "lifetime" coolant is not advised under any serious car enthusiast. Just stick to super blue

(I wonder how Leno actually uses this stuff.. he's a smart guy, but $$$ and endorsements for his name play a factor here in discerning actual use and performance)

OK, lets take simple example, simple engine oil. It can be used as coolant, but it does not have high specific heat capacity ( water is 4181.3 J/(kg·K)), while oil is around 2000J/(kg·K).

Question, how long simple oil can be used inside closed loop, where all it touches is aluminum ? ( lets just say head gasket works like it should). And oil will not do any damage to aluminum block, as well it will not allow electrolysis to happen if you have potential difference between two parts. Ignore what it will do for seals for a moment, since water seals can be damaged by other materials.

Basically time will be your enemy. So by physicist perspective, non conductive, waterless colant is what you need. I don't see any reason why it can't work as it should. And to have complete rust free cooling system is very compelling for me.

Again, i don't know reality, this is theory

The Toyota coolant is supposed to last for a damn long time.

don't think about it too hard, just know lifetime waterless coolant is unnecessary

Apparently Evans Waterless Coolant is glycol that has a much lower specific heat capacity than water. Here is an interesting analysis that I found with some searching:
