That does suck. Hopefully damage is isolated to bumper covers and the frame is safe. Could be an opportunity to swap in new lights if they were cracked. At least it was in the off season. Still sucks.

Yeah, hopefully his insurance will cover my deductible.
Damage should be limited to the bumper beam under the rear bumper, rest of body panels seem fine including the hood. Guy in Mazda3 ahead of me was cool, said virtually no damage to his car. Doesn't look like much damage up front other than the cover getting cracked.

@Slick Sorry to hear about the crash! Fingers crossed for the insurance. :/ Congrats though on the Openflash stuff though! You'll be hearing from me in a few months once I've saved up enough for this and a header.

Spotted a wild @Slick in Chinatown. For a damaged car you can't tell at all.

Thanks for the thoughts Guys!

I'm not too bummed out, shit happens.
Will see the body shop next week to book it in.

It doesn't look like much damage at first glance, especially with salt all over it concealing the damaged areas.
But I'll guess it'll be a $3-4K for the repairs. (new nose, new trunk lid, new rear bumper and bumper beam plus repainting)

GoKarting

Just over a week to go, 7 people have paid up.

At last check, 20 people opted-in.

I'll probably ask another forum if a few members want to come and play, but will wait till start of next week to see if any others get added from our group or not. We'll still do top 3 "Ottawa FT86Club members" from each group for the final shootout.

Trophies are impressive, thanks to Norm for offering them.
Will be nice on someone's mantle!

Payment options are:
  • cash (can drop by the shop at 2161 Thurston Drive)
  • Interac email transfer to slick66@rogers.com
