That's correct, your pretty much limited to 300ish worth the stock fuel system. The c38 does seem to out pull the 30 by a small margin all through the Rev range though.

This all started with someone who said he wanted 300whp on E85 with the C38. We already know you can make 300whp on E85 easily with the C30. If all you want is 300whp on E85, you don't need a larger head unit. If you don't like the comparison I mentioned, do it this way. Move the C30 line up so they peak at the same number. THERE IS NO POINT WHERE THE C38 IS A BETTER CHOICE UNTIL YOU RUN OUT OF CAPACITY WITH THE C30 |

I get what he's saying. He's saying if you're shooting for 300HP on E85, you can do it on the C30. If that's your end goal, then the C30 makes sense. Why leave extra boost on the table if you're not going to go for it?
Why stick a watermelon turbo on your 2JZ and hit 600HP when you can get the same from a hair dryer. Now if the C38 is the same price as the C30 I guess you could get the C38 for future proofing. |

Keep it simple:
c30 - Mild build with pump gas, moderate with e85, stock internals, fuel pump, and injectors with e85. Suitable for MANY. Capable of around 375 whp on e85. 275-290 on 91/93 octane. c38 - Batshit crazy. Built engine, lower compression, 1000cc injectors, fuel pump, smaller pullies, new rear end, new transmission, thicker rubber, spinning all over the damn place because you can't grip. Possibilities endless, hopefully not in a ditch somewhere. |

C38 is just more upfront cost for the ability to go to those levels where you need more severe upgrades to support it. It may be way more than you actually need. It really comes down to personal preference and what you want to do. The C38 is designed for those individuals who want 400+ whp and intend on doing those major upgrades to their engine. I'm trying to understand how you are getting the C38 cheaper than a C30. I'm currently trying to sell my kit since I never got the chance to put it on my car unfortunately and it's a pretty good deal. |

I went with the c38, simply because to my door it was $500 cheaper than the c30

i have a few questions hopefully you guys can help me out
1) i currently have the cusco AOS installed on my car http://www.ft86speedfactory.com/cusc...-type-716.html is this can designed for F/I applications or would i be better going with something else? 2) would upgrading injectors and fuel pump make reaching 300+ more obtainable on 94? or is 300ish the max without going e85? 3) what oil is everyone running and what weight? would 0w20 be sufficient for a DD with 1-2 track days a year or something like 5w30 300v be a better option? i currently run toyota 0w20 as i get it for dirt cheap threw my work and its a pretty decent oil. |
