Hard to tell exactly, but maybe 5-6 HP at the very top end? Probably not enough that you would notice in everyday driving? The more aftermarket intakes that are introduced, the more the factory system looks very well thought out...

The graphs were back to back on our Rototest Hubdyno. When it comes down to it, the intake is a piece of the N/A puzzle. Each item increases the output and efficiency individually but when all pieces come together, they all will work off of each other to net the biggest gains overall. In my experience (CJ), I've found that the OE Engineers usually have their stuff together. Only when you change items like camshafts, throttle bodies, headers, exhaust, do intakes really shine as you need to be able to move all that extra air through and out of the motor. |

Intakes are Back IN STOCK.
Recently, Mike from Moto-East did a back-to-back comparison OEM vs. Powerbox with impressive results!

Anymore pictures of that inside air straightener. Does it interfere with oil coolers such as MAPerofrmance or perrin? It looks good, don't mind the nay sayers.. When it comes to NA cars big money doesn't mean big power, most parts are means to an end.

I just pick one up. Should be along shortly and will post up my my thoughts. Also
have a MotoEast tune coming and will see how it does. Was looking at the 3" Perrin intake but did not want to take the bumper off to clean the filter. Personnel choice that. Mean absolutely nothing by it. |

Has anyone fitted this intake with the Perrin oil cooler?
Or any other oil cooler for that matter? It looks like it might interfere. @KraftWerks

Looks like you have to take off the bumper cover, is that confirmed?

I've been working on a MAF scale for the Skunk2 with insert for a couple weeks now. It's not perfect, but much better than OEM or my first attempt. My car has grown quieter and quicker the closer I get to 0.00 STFT and LTFT trims. It's obvious this intake flows much more air than stock, even with the insert restricting flow. I'm anxious to finish the current MAF scale and remove the insert to scale that too. Anyone who purchased this can PM me with their email address to get a copy of my current MAF scale for the Skunk2 with insert.

Ok, I finally got this installed.
First thing is, I was dreading taking off the bumper cover. It is an intimidating , seemingly, endeavor. It's not. It was actually very simple. Pop off the push on retainers, undo the bolts, carefully pull off the cover. Done. Only thing to stress is "take your time". If your car has some mileage on it the retainers may be brittle. So take it easy and just work them out. You will end up with a few spare larger ones from inside the air diverter, so built in spares. Install is very simple and well designed. If you have no tune then remember to install the small internal thingy inside where the MAF sits. Can't recall the exact name of it but it is well documented. Very good instructions. Performance gains: well like every one says the stock system is very good. I had an aFe oiled air filter installed before this. I noticed no difference in sound, I did notice a seat of the pants improvement at 4500 rpm. Previously I'd get the surge at 4800 rpm. Now I get it at 4500/4600 rpm. More pull at the higher rpm's. The big plus for this CAI is that you do not have to remove the bumper cover every time you need to clean the filter. Overall I like it and recommend it, especially for those staying NA or getting a SC that retains the stock air filter locations. The air scoop is HUGE. For NA, every little bit helps.
