Days and tankfulls are not very meaningful.
It's quite simple really.
You divide days by the amount of tanks you have and then you get exactly how many tanks per day you use.

I usually get 1TP7D so I think I'm doing fairly well.

My TPD rate seems to be very erratic. Sometimes I get 1TP7D, but other times I only use 1TP21D. Seems to vary with how often and how far I drive it. Should I take it in to the dealership and have it checked?

Checking the spreadsheet where I keep mine, over the life of my car the average is 1TP6.6D so you are doing slightly better than me. I think I'll drive my Suburban on my 80 mile commute next week to see if the FR-S TPD improves. Over the last year the Suburban has averaged about 1TP21D. I suspect that will drop substantially though if I do drive it to work.

I am at 23.7 MPG right now with 80% highway 20% city. Warming up the engine in the morning is slowly killing my MPG

Your problem may be that you are calculating your TPD all wrong!
This is the proper calculation:

Yours seems odd. I have been at or above 30 MPG since I bought mine.
I run 91 gas at 1 mile alt.

Wow. This has become so unnecessarily complicated for a simple calculation.

Sorry, but to use that algorithm, you first must convert tanks per day (T/d) to light-nano-seconds per hogshead (LnS/HgsH).

1 Hogshead = 63 gallons
1 LnS = .0001863 mi

So I get about 10.1 million Light-nano-seconds per Hogshead.

Canada, so it is cubic decameters per light-nano-seconds.
Can't seem to find the proper setting on the dash readout though.
