My FRS loves to eat gas!
 

I got a 2013 Scion FR-S with Greddy intake and evo2 exhaust and a full tank prob lasts me like 5 days. Does anyone else have gas consumption issue?

about 5 days worth :bonk: duh.

I have 43k miles on my car and I drive an average amount. The fuel gauge needle hoes down a little everytime I turn the car on. Is this something I can get tuned?

I wouldn't say you're "eating" gas as our tank isn't that large... I fill up every week with over 300 miles to a tank; however, I'm averaging around 31.5-32MPG and that's not driving lightly (as in I speed, and 'enjoy' the twisties on the way home).

Only mods: Perrin Exhaust, Perrin Filter, Perrin intake pipe

Do you actually calculate your MPG when you fill up? Mine acts the way you say, but I still get 24-25 mpg city and 32 mpg on the highway, which is about right for this car. I will also say the needle is a bit conservative. I normally fill up just under 1/4 on the gauge, but if I wait for the light, it is just about 11 gal while the tank holds 13.2 gallons. Most manufacturers seem to be getting more conservative on their fuel gauges (from my personal experience anyway).

I also love to speed and enjoy the turns. I was just seeing if it was normal or if I had a problem.

Conservative as in the needle could be dead on E, and you still have 1-1.5 gallons left in the tank, enough for 40-50 miles. Do you ever want to run your car this low? No, you don't want to harm your fuel pump and suck up any of the impurities at the bottom of the tank, but just saying E on the gauge is not completely E. This has always been the case with cars (due to the nature of how the float in the tank operates), but just seems even moreso now with any of the newer cars I have driven.

If you drive a lot fuel will be consumed quickly. If you are constantly in the throttle then fuel consumption will go up.

Taking off fast doesn't hurt fuel mileage, it is the way you drive in between starts and stops that hurt it.

How the fuck else am I supposed to get going from a light then? No down-low power! :burnrubber:

Oh yea I have notice that in cars these days. I always fill up at a quarter left anyways. I guess the mods don't help fuel consumption eithet
