Yea thats how I'm reading it too, which would suck for me since my card issuers tend to give me annual credit line increases without my asking at all. I don't know if thats how creditors in Oz act as well, but it seems like it would work against a borrower.

It does not work against you in the US. Credit limit increases are a sign of positive credit and the bigger the increases, the healthier your credit is.... at least in the US. These increases are limited up to an amount which varies from lender to lender by your stated annual income when you applied for the card or provided updated information. Some have no problem issuing credit lines of tens of thousands of dollars, while others are more stringent with their credit lines. The notion that untapped credit is a liability is not one that will affect you in the US. High credit limits typically are a reward for using your available credit wisely which benefits you with increased spending power on future lines of credit in the form of lower rates and more favorable terms due to lower utilization.

People need to keep in mind that Credit scores are used for more than just loan applications. Credit scores are also used for stuff like figuring car insurance rates or potentially in job applications. Playing the "credit game" rewards you in many different areas of life.

Just as FYI - I spoke to my guy at a Subaru dealer that i went initially when i try to get the 2013 BRZ back in 2012 (and failed due to credit history). He did not have any insights on a 2016 BRZ series blue neither but he said that i should order a 2015 BRZ series blue 'blue' by February. He said that it takes a few months to import the car from Japan. That dealer currently don't have the blue one. He said that i could get the the BRZ series blue for 28k. So, if this is all true, and if i order the car next month, i should be getting the car around march/april?

For anybody that has order the BRZ, how long does it take to import the car from Japan?

no difference, they just look at your overall possible debt.

Pulled the trigger this afternoon at a Subaru dealer. I was able to get the 2015 BRZ series blue (in rally blue)!!!!. Price was 28.5k @ 2.9ARP for 72 months. I'll be picking up the car in about a week or two. I also need to sign the contract for the loan when i pick up the car, i think.

I saw the car (it was stored in an car storage, not in the dealer) and the car did not have the front sti skirt, side sit skirt and rear skirt. It only had the black sti wheels and the interior was black and blue. I was arguing with the sales person about the missing parts. When i went back to the dealer, he spoke to another colleague and he said "i guess you know more about the car then me" LOL. The missing pieces are going to be added to the BRZ by the time i pick it up.

Im happy right now that it went fine and that soon i'll be a BRZ owner!

I picked the BRZ this morning! Drive home was interesting as it was very first times driving manual. Driving in the highway was pretty easy (with no traffic) I stall the car like 5 times when going into first lol . Anyways patience and i will learn, overall i think i did pretty good.
