I plan on getting a cat back exhaust in the future and possibly an OFT but that's all.

Recently replaced the stock rubber with some Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season tires. Definitely much more grip than stock. That being said, if I could do it again I would probably have just used the stock tires until they were done. I expected more of an increase in performance but in reality I don't really push my 86 too hard and it's basically just a DD to get me from place to place.

However, I do drive my car quite a lot and I just lowered the position of the clutch pedal and oh my the difference is pretty crazy. I lowered the pedal to the same height of the brake pedal and engaging the clutch just feels so much more comfortable. Before I adjusted the pedal I would often rev too high while starting from a complete stop and shifting into second wasn't the smoothest either. And I'm not inexperienced with a driving a manual, with around 10 years under my belt.... But now it just feels so much more natural. I'm still getting used to the new pedal position seeing as how I've been adjusting to the old position for over a year now. But I already have a lot more successful shifts than before. I highly recommend adjusting the clutch pedal of your 86 if you've been having difficulties shifting comfortably in first and second.

Simple and clean. I like that approach. Did you install the springs yourself? Any suspension noises? I think I read that you installed the springs on your Jetta and was not happy the change.

I'm looking to go with RCE Yellow springs. Trying to decide if I should attempt the install myself. I could not live with squeaks and groans from the suspension.

No, I had them installed at Les Schwab.

There aren't really any suspension noises during normal driving. But there are more noises when I drive over certain bumps. The main noise that I hear is really hard to describe but it sounds like something rubber-like pressing up against something else when the springs compress after going over a bump. It happens a lot with speed bumps if I go over them a little too fast.

But it's not really that bad, I think I'm just a little too OCD with the sounds. I really love the way the springs clean up some of that horrendous wheel gap. I'm even considering getting some hub centric wheel adapters to improve the stance even though it could very likely create some new noises.

Installed B2 Auto Designs hubcentric wheel adapters. 20mm in the front and 25mm in the rear. I don't have any pictures right now because the car is much too dirty at the moment but I am planning on taking some in the next couple of weeks. They look really good and I have yet to notice any issues with them at all.

I also fixed the panel issue where the front fender wasn't lining up with the door properly. I just gently pushed on the part of the fender that wasn't sitting flush and it moved back into place. Then I tightened the 10mm nut to keep it nice and secure. Looks good as new! Pictures to come....

Newest pictures with the black plasti dip removed from the emblems. I'm not sure which way I like it better but the stock chrome (or aluminum or what ever it is) definitely shows more detail and just looks heavier and more solid.

I want to upgrade to an HID setup but I'm not sure what I want to do yet. I've considered the black winjets but I'm not totally sold on the quality.

Decided to go gloss black front and back emblems and keep the side emblems chrome. Here's a shot of the side/front.
