But in Amarillo TX its a city ordnance and they can do whatever they want, by the way the ticket was 275 dollars i went to court to try to fight it, however the judge said this was city ordinance. I was so mad.. I mean really wished I would of just tried racing the corvette now might of been cheaper ticket! lol
Man I would be pissed off, that's just a load of BS...Exhibition of acceleration. So a cop can write you a ticket for accelerating from a stoplight without even peeling out or squealing tires? Makes no sense.

15 over in a 25 mph. Cop gave me a 2 point ticket ($80 fine) for "careless driving" instead of a 3 point speeding ticket. Went to court and paid $390 and plead guilty for “unsafe driving " (0 points).

You should have refused and asked him why he was asking you to step out in the first place. Luckily he wasn't trying to arrest you for anything, but unfortunately he will probably try to pull that stunt again. I may be overthinking it, but something about your post rubbed me the wrong way.
Well I mean none of his constitutional rights were violated here. There was no search or seizure, and it was consented to. It's definitely a violation of at least one law or department regulation though, I can assure you that much haha

Highly recommend to refrain from passing someone going downhill when you're already doing 15 above the limit.
Good Luck! Been there (110+ in a 55), done that, not guilty verdict on a technicality.

But when I was dropping into spokane the speed limit changes to 60mph and I was still cruising at 73mph when all of a sudden my nifty (worthless) CR90 detector let me know I was effed as a cruised by a WSP just chillin at the bottom of the hill. Moral of the story is! DO NOT SPEED on the freeway in washington state unless you have a laser jammer or an eagle eye because they will get you.. sooner or later..

Also I am not to upset because I could have been arrested for the speeds I was exceeding when I had my summer tires on.. Flying down the hill towards moses lake at 133mph could have been the end of me.. But I just had to see how fast it would go (I even chickened out.. could have gone faster.. )
last time i took highway 2 across there was one stationed in about every podunk little town along the way. had a county sheriff tail me for about 20 miles as well on that trip. good thing my old truck isnt much for speed and i dont have WA plates. luckily WSP has white cruisers that are easy to spot from a distance. had the pleasure of watching one flip around and get the drunk bastard in front of me on my last drive. so satisfying.

clocked 110 in a 55 (construction zone which is 2x fine where I live)
got off w/ a 65 in a 55 thank god.

me: Am I going to jail?
officer: We'll see. License and registration please.

He saw me on the on-ramp towards the freeway already going 85 and I saw him too and there was quite heavy traffic so I thought I could maneuver enough distance to make myself lost in traffic. But there was a massive opening when I passed 2 semi's and I noticed the cop was definitely making an effort to reach me. So once I passed the semi's I essentially gunned it for the next exit (hence the 110) and the second that Charger made it to the opening, he was on my butt. Ended up getting off the exit w/ his sirens guiding me. (this was several years ago and have since refrained from idiocy on the road)

wish you the best w/ the court appearance.

Got 1 year unsupervised probation.
Have to pay $200 towards court by 1st of march.
Attend PADDD program ($125) , and finish a writing assignment the judge assigned me.

Happy with the outcome. Could of been a whole lot worse.

I was cruising in a park with some friends that have a 370 and an evo. I was in the back of the pack of course and they were speeding ahead of me. I see a park ranger behind me, tells me to pull over. I just got a warning that time because I wasn't doing anything wrong, but on mothers day I wasn't so lucky, 97 in a 75, $303.47 for that one

$325 and some lost free time is miles better than what could've happened. Rock on

Sounds like you got a fair punishment. I never care about the fine, I just do not want the points.

I find it hard to be over the speed limit for 2 reason. 1. I kind know how fast I 'm driving from the wind noise/engine noise 2. Thanks to how low it is stock..I feel faster looking out. When I'm on a SUV/VAN i can be doing 70 and feel like 50 in frs =.=

I drive my wife's Mitsu RVR Gt suv and look down and find I am doing 85/90 in a 50/60 zone fairly often now. It is so high and sound proofed that I don't even realize it until I actual look or get yelled at (if she is there too).
